  1. $10 each from TW 8# - 1700yd 10# - 1500yd 12# - 1175yd https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Berkley_Trilene_Big_Game_Line_Green/descpage-BTBG.html
  2. Long as it was kept in 'controlled' conditions (inside, no major temp variance and out of direct sunlight) it should be fine. It's when it's exposed to the elements that it starts degrading.
  3. Longer rod, shorter leader and only back-swing to 10 O'Clock...that should solve the issue.
  4. People after my own heart. When I deer hunted (haven't gone in 30 years (Wife: "You can go after rabbit, you can go after grouse but you're not going out and shooting Bambi!"), it was with a Marlin 336 chambered for 30-30 Win.
  5. Just remember, if you're not hooked on the T-Wing - the Fuego CT is just a Tat CT without the T-Wing...for $20 less retail.
  6. Drop-shot nose hooked low (2"-4" above weight), Ned, Shaky
  7. I've got a couple rods on my wishlist as well as changing out my Hook2-4 for a Garmin Echomap 63CV.
  8. Look at all that wall space for hanging peg-boards for baits!
  9. Considering that all my crankbait catches this year - pike as well as bass - were on Bluegill or Pumpkinseed patterns...and the few times I tried a Shad I got nuttin'....I'd say no. At least in my experience.
  10. Read the fine print "Select models of Penn's freshwater & saltwater reels are fully assembled in Pennsylvania using mostly domestic sourced components." That's why it only gets a silver star instead of a gold '100'.
  11. Here's a list of some https://usamadeproducts.biz/outdoor-recreation-fishing-gear-fishing-reels.html
  12. You say 'Midwest' but not that you're in the snow-belt. If you have an off-season, storing reels and line can be done like I do. Depending on how many reels/spools of line you have, might need more than one unit.
  13. If it's a THIN epoxy, ya - but most stuff used in the shop or around the house is thick and non-transparent.
  14. I don't have quite as many rigs as others - 10, of which 2 are braid. I got the 16oz bottle, barely been through 1/3 of it in two seasons. What I did was get one of those 2oz travel spray bottles from Target and filled that from the 16oz...carry that in my main bag in case I need a quick spritz when on the water.
  15. I looks like it's just a surface abrasion that's discolored the epoxy as I don't see the ends of any broken threads sticking up. Mike would have a better opinion - but it looks to me like a light coat of epoxy over that would keep it good.
  16. Another part of the $100 the wife let me have. New color Chigger Craw, Pit Boss and Super Fluke to add to colors I already have. Three colors of Brush Hogs - they were out of one I wanted. Couple weights of shaky heads and some Gamy hooks too. Also a couple more 3607 boxes - I put my plastics in those, label what type, then the boxes go in either my Advanced Angler bag or my Plano Weekender.
  17. Oh - it got lots of use...it's still one of my backup finesse rods and I take it out panfishing every now and then. I've caught bass, walleye, small northerns, panfish and trout with that rod over the decades.
  18. Ask and ye shall receive Overview Close-up of the second guide Back then, they used tape covered in epoxy rather than thread - so that's why it looks a bit different. But it has all the original guides with no repairs done. Even the tip-top is the original Far as keeping the one you have now - I'd wait and see what Mike has to say.
  19. Not all rods get that way - I've got a Diawa 1312 ML/F rod that I've had for 40+ years and the guide-wraps are still blemish free if a little dirty. Shouldn't be hard to 'fix' it though. Maybe Mike at @Delaware Valley Tackle has an idea.
  20. That's just under 4 gallons. Long as you keep it cool and aerated...a couple dozen anyway.
  21. I use 10#YZH on my Trion-35 (3000 size). 12# also is my leader material for my two braid rigs.
  22. You could even put suckers in there - minnows are pretty cool about living together. Just don't overload the cooler with too many...
  23. Both of those are still in stock in various places - TW for one.
