  1. Loss of a very classy beauty.
  2. I don't think I've ever used more that 100 yards of line on any cast/catch...with the line I use, the most any of my spinners has on it is 130yds.
  3. I don't put the weight on until I'm ready to rig/cast it. The loose line can just dangle...without the weight on it, it's not a big issue.
  4. E-Bay, Craigslist, Next Door - you might have to settle for a used one unless you want to wait for KL Industries (Sun Dolphin's parent corp) to ramp up production again.
  5. If you still have line on the supply spool - then just go with it. I don't worry about how much line I have left for spooling until I actually run out.
  6. Rock bass are good eating - I use to purposely catch them when I was a teen cause my mom loved them. Catch lots of panfish (to the legal limit) and have a good feast every now and then.
  7. With Sun Dolphin shutting down 3 plants in the last year added to the Covid slowdowns, supplies are very limited.
  8. This is my mindset - I'm after bass. If all I catch are dinks - at least I didn't get skunked. When I get a nice one it's a bonus.
  9. ^ What Tom said. Fly fishing with so many small fish available will net you small fish. Change up to a rig running larger lures.

  11. If they haven't changed it since it was a Cabela's bag - the four external pockets on the Magnum hold 3600 size boxes
  12. I have the Large - like that it can hold 7-3600 boxes (6 in the main, 1 in the front). This is my plastics bag filled with 360710 boxes - each sorted by plastic type and labeled.

Sounds like my mother-in-law - who I describe as "She makes a Type-A personality look comatose."
  14. Oh I know that - I have 10# YZH on my medium spinning rig, 12# YZH on my backup moving bait/jig rig and on my crankbait rig. I'm still considering converting all my non-braid rigs to YZH.
  15. Well ya - 8# YZH is the same diameter as 10# Nylon-mono...and test after test shows that 8# YZH has an average breaking strength of 12#...so more than strong enough for many techniques. I use 4# YZH on my UL rig - 6# Mono diameter - 8.5# average breaking strength....I could use that on my finesse rig instead of the 8# Sufix Elite I currently have on it.
  16. Depends entirely on where/what you're fishing. I use 8# on my finesse spinning rig with no issues, also on my panfish rig. Heavier lures or fishing actually in the weeds get heavier line.
  17. Of my five spinning reels, four are Pfluegers and the one on my wishlist for Yule is a Pflueger. I've had nothing but good luck with Pfluegers since my first one - a 640 - bought back in the 70s.
  18. I just as soon prefer that we stop being teased.
  19. 85 today - would have been nice for tomorrow...but this is our week to come
  20. Beetlespin, Mepps Aglia, Black Fury and Comet...all light enough for ML and all usable for catching bass.
  21. You starting to put on the 'blubber' to survive your hibernation period?
  22. And if you decide to stick with spinning - that's okay too. A 4000 size reel on an Inshore Rod will handle much of the bigger baits.
  23. Ya - putting even a 3" Pitt Boss on those and we're talking .81oz and 1.01oz
