Best Inflatable/Limited Storage Boat
There's a couple folding boats that handle small outboards, so a TM would be no problem Porta-Bote - https://www.porta-bote.com/ Quickboat - http://quickboats.com/

Bah...what's grass compared to a kid having fun? Just hope that 6pound doesn't take a hard right during one of his laps.

Minnesota 2020 Fishing Season
Since all I have is a canoe and the power-boaters (yes, even the bass boats) are gits who try their best to swamp me...I never go out on the weekends. Add to that, I have to schedule trips around a temp PCA to look after my wife while I'm on the lake...my 'opener' will be the Wednesday after the calendar opener.

Trying To Stop You From Fishing A Dock
- Finally got a bent rod!
Nice fish and looks like a fun outing for the pair of you. Beat me - I haven't been out since end of Sept, and this Wednesday will be my first outing this year.- Soft plastics storage boxes
Okay what I do is this Plastics in original bags - Plano 3607 (open compartment) - boxes divided by style. Paddletails in one, critters in another, worms in a third - all labeled with type Plastics out of original bags - Plymor 5x5 bags, rolled up and put into Plano 3606 boxes (6 compartment) - again labeled by type. Boxes go in a Cabelas Advanced Angler II bag - I get seven boxes in that (6 in the main compartment, one in the front pocket). Side pockets take things I can't fit in the boxes - like my Eco Pro Swing Shads still in original packaging.- Soft plastics storage boxes
Are they still in the original bags or are they loose?- Minnesota 2020 Fishing Season
Ya, I'm heading out this Wednesday myself - test the new mods so far on the canoe, see if I can get some slab-crappies. 53o, huh...maybe when I go out the following week, the bass will be on the beds or at least 'lining up' for spawn.- Disrespectful Fishermen
X3 - Call the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department...let them know what's going on.- Line type and size for 6'2" ML rod?
Ya - 10# braid on a BC is just asking for bird-nests and dig-ins - which will result in bird-nests. I'd go with straight 12# mono/FC/hybrid at minimum. If you must use braid - 20# minimum to maybe an 8#-10# leader.- I need a list of rod types for each situation.
Ya, the only lure specific rods I have are two 7' Medium-Heavy/Moderate for crankbaits - one casting, one spinning. Rest of my rods (8 more) are multipurpose...with some overlap between them.- Dobyns 704c
I didn't notice that earlier. Ya 704C is a casting rod 704SF is a spinning rod- Dobyns 704c
I'd go with a 3000 - that'll handle bass no problem and be well usable for pike, walleye, whatever. Personally - I'm a Pflueger fan...for $100 I'd go with a Supreme-35 (the 35 in Pfluegers is close to a 3000 size)- Daiwa Aird-X 7' M/F Bait Cast Rod Users ?
Not up to the standards of a Fuji Alconite, but yes - aluminum oxide inserts, and I haven't had issues with them even with 4-carrier braid (original Power Pro) I tighten mine down a fair bit, and the seat seems sturdy and strong. I think the power is pretty close - the action I'd rate as maybe a bit tighter than MF but not quite F, so FMF (Fast-Moderate-Fast) maybe...dunno.- What Do You Bring For Lunch on the Water?
If you're going to bring a brew, why not something other than colored water?- Help on a Spinnerbait
I'd close it with JB Weld Steel Reinforced Epoxy - apply and shape it however you want for a smooth transition.- What Do You Bring For Lunch on the Water?
Sandwich, fruit-bar, ice tea, ice coffee, dried fruit - all things than I can eat/drink one handed while watching my line during drop-shots, ned, etc. Not into soda except the occasional A&W and detest energy drinks.- Daiwa Aird-X 7' M/F Bait Cast Rod Users ?
(snicker) My flip/pitch/bubba-shot rig is a Fuego CT on the 7' H/F Aird-X. I agree, it's like the two were made for each other.- Daiwa Aird-X 7' M/F Bait Cast Rod Users ?
Same here, but I DO have the 6'6" M/F in addition to the 7' MH/F and the 7' H/F as well as the 6'6" M/F Spinning. I've been fairly impressed with my Aird-X rods...they handle and balance well. Two of my other rods would have been Aird-X if they came in a Moderate action and a third was because I wanted a longer UL rod than is available in that line. I think they perform above their price-point and would seriously consider purchasing more if the need happened.- A Saturday Morning Question
Ya, when the sun is higher, I target the shaded side of lily pad patches or weedlines.- Is mapping feature desired in a fish finder
I would say almost a necessity. Lets you find structure, which is where the bass like to hang out - drop-offs, points, humps - those are prime territory.- Is mapping feature desired in a fish finder
I'm looking at upgrading my sonar next year - but passing on the maps. I have an 8" Android tablet that I run the I-Boating app on. 1' contours, GPS tracking, waypoints...has it all. Have it in a clamp mount just above my Hook 2-4 so I have the full screen for the sonar.- A Saturday Morning Question
Well, what I do know is that the bass in my profile pic was caught this way. Yellow/White skirted, Colorado/Willow double blade spinnerbait with a trailer. Tossed into shadows caused by trees on the shoreline - got slammed about 5' after it came out into the lighted water.- Minneapolis/St. Paul area
Lake Minnetonka - my 'home' lake. There's plenty of good bass in it, BASS has even had some tourneys on it. Good shore fishing spots in various places - but there are several boat-rental places as well that have everything from a 14' with a 9hp up to full bass boats available.- Red-eyed large
LMB markings can be different, and despite attempts in the lab - LMB and Rock Bass cannot hybridize. "Meanmouth Bass: In the mid-1960s, Dr. William Childers and colleagues at the Illinois Natural History Survey began studies of centrarchid (sunfish family) hybrids. In the lab, they produced some oddballs—crosses of largemouth bass with warmouth, green sunfish, and bluegill. Crosses with crappie and rock bass failed." https://www.in-fisherman.com/editorial/hybrid-black-bass/154884 - Finally got a bent rod!
