  1. my uncle smokes cigars and does that.however it doesnt bother me since that stuff will decompose
  2. im sorry to all those in the posse but despite my love of my current shimano on my next combo im going to experament with a abu garcia :-[
  3. i have never used one but in my opinion its all ,,i say this because it is basically making a fish 2 dimensional, like sayin all people in a state eat the same things, with they dont.every fish wants somthing different and will feed on what it wants to not what all the others want..also fish feed whanever they get a chance.so if a bass see's what appears to be a shad race past it it will hit it regardless
  4. ive been noticing that several members havent been on lately
  5. yes it is bad for the fish!!!!!!!,,,,second hand smoke kills :
  6. Isn't that were the extra large casting deck comes in? na man, im pretty sure your thinkin of that huge motor to get ya to that nice secluded spot FAST ;D
  7. soft platics - YUM' spinner baits - booyah in line - roostertails, or blue fox topwater - heddon plastic toads - stanley ribbit crankbaits - mann's or BPS xps
  8. before the rain because the pressure is dropping and the insects become more active witch makes the bass more active while they try to get them.but after the rain is also a great time to along with during the rain as long as it isnt pouring
  9. thats pretty interesting,by any chance do you know how they did it and what they used. i wouldnt mind catching 4 after 4 every day ;D
  10. i dont want to call anyone a liar but to me that idea sounds increadibly far featched
  11. they were the "u tale"style worms and im comparing the to YUM ribbontail worms
  12. the only real problem i notice are that the worm is extremely skinny and doesnt even seem big enough to run a hook through compared to other worms me an my uncle use(he uses berkley)...while im sure they may catch fish it seems that because of their size they may not atract as many and also may rip, break, etc if it gets caught on a branch or if the bass or bluegill hit the tails
  13. well first off ill say that as far as a soft plastic brand i love YUM.well this past week i went to get more of them at gander mtn but couldnt find the right color.so i grabbed another color i liked and a pack of zookm worms in a similar color to what i was looking for.when i opened them up i noticed that the zoom worms didnt seem to be made wtih as much quality as the YUM worms were. any thoughts?
  14. WELCOME!!!!.and for me i use it anytime anywere [timestamp=1180569027] well it looks like i was beaten lol
  15. LOVE EM!!! but you shouldnt base the lures effectivness just on one day.ive seen bass hit a lure one day and the very next they will ignore it or dart as soon as they see it,heck ive seen it happen in the course of a day were they like it in the mornin hate it in the evening, try it in different conditions and you may be able to get them to strike it best of luck
  16. i use a totth pick also an all you have to do is break it off so that there is a little bit(just enough to grab onto) stick out the front.ive never had a problem that way
  17. this past february we were fishing and it was cold and windy,i went to cast and i didnt see my lure and saw slack line, then i felt what was like a punch to the back of the head and felt back to find out my crankbait was stuck in my head,it pinned my hat to my head and after 2 hours or so of trying to get it out we went to the ER to get it removed P.S its now one of my favorite lures ;D here is a pic
  18. im no expert on rigging and can only give you a good answer for a texas rig because its the only one i fish .basically it is a bullet weight on your line then the hook and worm tied on at the end, once ya get into caroline and that fancy stuff it gets a bit to complicated for me
  19. i just learned of these yesterday but bass assasin, "5" shad assasin in firetiger and i forgot to mention a ribbit frog by stanley in watermelon with gold flake
  20. thats a very good point lol ;D
  21. YUM "6" ribbontail worms in tequila sunrise and green pumpkin pepper(i think thats what its called)
  22. while all this science is interesting and helpful there is only one sure fire way to tell wat a bass can and cant see,and that is time on the water
  23. ok guys i am considering the switch to braid and have a few questions., 1.what is your favorite/best braided line, 2. what advantages does braid have over mono and what should i us it for, and 3.if i use 8# test mono is 8# braid the same or stronger than the mono
  24. ALL BLUE FOX LURES ARE GOOD
  25. i agree although i am guilty of calling my toads topwater because thats the only way i fish em, however today i might try that technique you said about adding a weight. BTW.my bro showed me (by accident) that buzzbaits can at times not be topwater because he wasnt sure how to fish it lol, he fished it like a spinnerbait and that also works
