NRX 893 & Dsrk Sleeper
Were talking a huge difference in reel weight between the new antares mgl and the aldebaran mgl. I'd love an antares but I just can't seem to get over the weight when the aldabarans feels so light.

NRX 893 & Dsrk Sleeper
Is the Aldebaran mgl on an 893 too light? Is there even a thing?

NRX 893 & Dsrk Sleeper
Would you throw a Dsrk Sleeper on an 893? If so what weight would you want to throw and what weight would be the max. I know the weights the rod calls for but to me the 3/4 sleeper fishes lighter than it's weight.

Best reel to pair with an NRX 894
Do you think the aldebaran is too light for the 894? Thinking the aldebaran of met mgl.

Upgrading Ultrex from I Pilot to Link
Thank you!

Upgrading Ultrex from I Pilot to Link
I'm considering upgrading my ultrex from an I Pilot to an I pilot link for the tune of $800. This would be matched up with my two helix 10 g2ns. Does anybody have an opinion on how much they use their link system vs just the standard spot like a North modes? Do you use it to get close to way points without going over them ? Do you use it for contours on mapping? Is it worth upgrading?

Michigan Tackle, colors and shapes advice
I prefer natural lakes. I'm sick and tired of rivers that are constantly flooded.

Things that Aldebaran can't do
What are the things you wouldn't do with the aldebaran and why? I have a MET Mgl, a chronarch mgl, and curado DC and the aldebaran and I really love this little reel. I'm just wondering you guys thoughts on what it can't go. I believe the drag is just about the same as all the standard best shimano freshwater reels. 1. Too low of weight to balance a heavier rod?

Navionics or Lake Master card
Tried. My lake, Sharbot Lake Ontario doesn't come up

Megabass F5-75
I have the new EMTF XX but I can't say I've tried bottom contact. I use it mainly for cranks, topwater and that's about it so far. I'll try to keep some bottom contact next time I go out. I'll definitely say it's got a softer/slower tip that I'd typically consider a straight bottom single hook bait

So far this season what has been everyone’s most productive lures?
Vision 110, Kanata. I never thought I'd find something I enjoy more than a topwater bite but I have. There's just something about having a super light casting combo and them trying to suddenly rip it out of your hand. Like a kid in a candy store.

Navionics or Lake Master card
Is it fair to assume if my small Canadian lake is shown on the lake master that it had good information
-
Navionics or Lake Master card
The point is I can already see what I'm buying before I buy the nav. It'd be nice if lake master did that.

Navionics or Lake Master card
My lake is under lake list for both but with Novionics I can actually preview the mapping. Can that be done with lake master?

Navionics or Lake Master card
Buying for a smaller lake in Ontario canada as well as all the lakes in Michigan. Pros and Cons to each? My helix 10s that are linked I assume do not share off of one card

Humminbird 360 (Still worth the investment?)
Considering getting a 360 but my understanding is it's been out for a long time without any changes. Do you still believe its a great tool at this point or would you wait for something else?

Curado DC acting up
This may sound stupid but I never clean my reels. Any good source of information on breakdown of Shimano casting reels ?

Curado DC acting up
The first few times out with the new curado DC I couldn't be happier. Now just the third time fishing I am hear and feeling a looss gear slipping issue. It's almost like the gear between the handle and main aren't ingermeshed and it has a loud clack coupled with no line retrieval. In addition all the sudden the thumb bar started half locking and unlocking. Am I missing something?

Ultimate Jerk Bait Combo (Kistler VS All)
After all the input I pulled the trigger on the destroyer one ten special. I'll use that for 110s, 110jrs, ito shiners and the plus 1 & 2's. I may even try to throw 1/2 - 3/4oz dark sleepers and finesse jigs. I'll reserve the 7'1 kistler MH for the kanatas and all around other finesse type stuff. Both on an aldebaran 50 mgl

Ultimate Jerk Bait Combo (Kistler VS All)
I'm interested in the fact that the one ten can do more than just the jerk baits. Now trying to decide if the one ten is worth it of over the levante or xx. Does anybody have input on the differences between blanks?

Megabass dark sleeper , help finding them!
Can anybody find the 3 inch 3/4 Oz ones ? I anybody else know who has sleepers in stock?

Ultimate Jerk Bait Combo (Kistler VS All)
Fast Version - I'm currently fishing Vision 110's, Ito Shiners & Kanatas on a 7'1 Kistler H3 MH (3/8-1OZ) with a Aldebaran MGL. Am I missing anything by using this rod instead of rod such as the One Ten Special or 6'10 Expride? I have an extra Aldebaran and need another rod, I need some convincing on why I shouldn't just get another Kistler 7'1 I'd like some advice on the standard jerk bait rods that we typically see here. Just recently I got into jerk baiting and have been having an absolute blast. I started chasing largemouth on the Harris chain post spawn about six weeks ago. I picked up buddies Kistler H3 7'1 MH (3/8-1OZ) casting rod and I threw my MET MGL on. I couldn't believe just how light the combo was. I dreamed that it could only be better with an Aldebearn MGL on it. Fast forward to now and I have that combo which I just got down having even more fun fishing up north with. My main question is am I missing anything by fishing this Kistler instead of the typical 6'10,6'11 dedicated jerk bait rods such as the Expride 6'10 or the Megabass One ten special? I have a second Aldebaran that I need another rod for. Personally I find the Kistler launches a Vison 110 while still keeping enough bend with a leader to not bend even the stock hooks out. In my opinion the Kistler is an attractive option because I believe it to be a much more versatile rod than say a One ten special or 6'10 expride (Even though I've never fishing those) The kistler can throw a whacky worm, a light jig, a 3/4 dark sleeper as well as a bunch others. Thoughts?
