Stay away from swimbait universe. It's making me a swimbait crazy person and I hardly throw them. Heck I'm considering a custom build rod. Stay far away. Those custom bait drops are like Crack to the monkey.

I understand that zman has the patent and that the jack hammer is a fantastic bait. My question is do any of you add a blade to say your favorite swim jig? I feel like my lethal weapon iv swim jigs would come through the grass better than the jack hammer head shape. I wonder if I can make one a bladed version?

Currently my buddy just needs a step up from his Diablo spec r, I'd think the 844C is a large step up in power from the spec r. Spec r is rated to 3/4 but I don't think it does well that high.

What's your opinion between the two? Will be used for 6 inch t rigged and whack senkos in thick grass. Versatility is a bonus

Yeah the thick grass is a lot to deal with for a regular heavy, especially a 7 footer

My 13 Envy black 2 7'3 Heavy showed up today. This thing will fit right in with the 7'4 MH & 7'6H that I currently have. These are interesting rods that don't get much love on here.
