Definitely change the line. With my currado dc the spool tension wants to be just a touch tighter then you think it should be. First day was a little rough figuring it out. You’ll get it, then it will be fun.

Wood I might be able to hold off if I stop taking it out of the box and playing with it.

As I posted in another thread I got this for Christmas. I had a plan for the expride this offseason. But this thing is threatening a serious derailment of my plans. It’s like a sickness eating away at me. It’s tough to get a setup for just one bait but it’s getting close. Then I’ll need a reel for it and more baits. My reason is telling me to stick with my original plan and Take some time and put some thought into this. As this could be a big endeavor. I feel this could get deep before the ice even melts. It doesn’t look very big but it’s 2.5 oz’s

When I was 12 went wading a stream with my dad and two of his buddies. First time going with the big boys. We were using small mepps spinners on ultra lite rods. It was great. Up and down the stream we caught 102 small mouth between us. They were everywhere. A big one was 10” and it didn’t matter one bit. They were great fun in that quick little stream on ultra light gear. We got back to the truck talking about the great day. They had a beer and I had a soda. I remember how cool it was feeling like one of the guys. Great memory.

Me to, had everyone one for Christmas breakfast. Three little ones, from 7-2. That’s the real joy watching how excited they get for there presents.

I got a pretty cool Swimbait and a bunch of gift cards. So I can pick up that expride for very little of my own money. I’m pretty happy.

Got this for Christmas. Pretty cool, made by a local guy. Realistically don’t have anything to properly throw it, so I’ll be just lobing it out there just to play. Pics not really doing it any justice.

I have one. I haven’t really read reviews and only personally know two other people with them. Mine was the only casting reel I had for quite a while beating the bank. It got heavy use for several hours a week with the abuse that hiking and bank fishing offers. I don’t have experience with to many reels to compare to, but I would recommend the k without a doubt. One of my buddies swears by them. He says it’s the best bang for the buck. Where performance and longevity surpasses the dollar amount. Again his words. I feel it’s at the price point where you get a quality product you won’t outgrow, you just crossed over the into the next level of gear. With minimal maintenance will last you along time. Wow sorry this is long. Apparently I have allot to say after a few drinks. I had more to say about my first casting reel then I do about my first girlfriend.
