  1. I haven’t used the Daiwa. The nasci is a great $99 reel no complaints and no line problems. I have the 2500 size and it’s everything I need it to be.
  2. Honestly Siebert’s stuff is almost to cheap already. If anything he should raise his prices.
  3. Great stuff guys nothing better than other fishermen hooking you up.
  4. Or just for fun.
  5. im Surprised at all these responses. I bought a couple size 20’s this spring for me and my grandson and they’ve been great. We only use them for sunfish though about once a week. That might be why since they don’t really much hard use. I guess time will tell.
  6. Sounds like the boater needs to be a little more fair with the boat position.
  7. The nasci is a great $100 reel.
  8. Not sure if it’s the one your looking for, I bought a couple 20’s from dicks for $50. Great little reels for panfish. Not sure of the different models but they were blue presidents.
  9. No joke, I seen a woman using one like that. She was also holding the line with her reeling hand with four fingers about a foot off the side of the reel to do this kind off lob cast. Kinda like I used to see guys casting off the jetties when I was a kid. I really wanted to help her out. But she was wearing her carhart trucker hat backwards and camo sweats She looked tuffer then me so I didn’t interfere.
  10. I’m so proud of you right now. And a little jealous. Nice haul.
  11. I hold a 8 pound skillsaw or a 6 pound nail gun in my hand all day. Or a hammer/sledgehammer. In all positions from down between my feet to standing on one foot above my head. So all these talks about trying to balance out 10 ounces while standing up straight on two feet just seem a little silly.
  12. Boy this thread really makes wanna buy some stuff, but I caught pretty much all my fish on three things last year and I have plenty of them. Bummer kind of.
  13. The strike king midnight special is a great bait. You can practically drag it on the bottom. I’ve also had great days with a zman bait with polished silver blades that I could see flashing at the end of my cast on a sunny day. Go figure.
  14. Shimano’s 2500 size is not to big at all. It’s a great size reel. That’s what I’d go with.
  15. Sounds like a good time.
  16. Welcome, you’ll fit right in. Getting geared up is half the fun.
  17. The carbonlite 2.0 in m/f is a great all round spinning rod. Very tough for hiking it around. I use the 6’6” cause of tight tree cover. It’s 1/8-1/2 and you can go a little over. I have a 2500 nasci on it it. It’s a $220 set up I couldn’t be more happy with.
  18. Sorry to hear that Tom, wish you the best.
  19. That’s pretty sweet. Nice and shiny.
