  1. Turns out I’ve got a couple of epic days headed my way this week. May have to call in sick lol. First I’ve heard of this app but just fooling around with it for the last 15 minutes or so I can see it being useful
  2. Jackhammer no matter the price it never fails I will lose it after an hour or two. At least it seems it’s a given
  3. Owned an XT and man was it a nice reel. Right up until it was stolen lol
  4. Daiwa Fuego can be found here sometimes for $50 and all over eBay in the same range. Daiwa Tatulas can also be found in that range if you do some homework and shop around. I’ve seen a lot of people rave about the Shimano SLX but personally I’m not a fan (I’ve been told I’m weird because of this). I’ve got 3 of the Kastking Royale Legend Elite reels and I love them. They’re $70-$80 and I’ve had zero issues whatsoever. Same thing can be said for the Fuegos I’ve owned in the past though. My .02, go with the Fuego or Tatula. You won’t be disappointed.
  5. The bigger bass that I’ve caught, sometimes their strike is a lot more subtle than the smaller ones. The smaller ones in my experience have consistently done the tap..tap..tap style hit. The bigger ones seem to be more of a thud...then I feel and see my line start to move. Top water is kinda the same I think. I’m not a very experienced top water guy but have caught a lot of them with a plopper, frog, etc. For me it was waiting to not set the hook immediately which took what seemed like forever to learn. Honestly, I can’t say which one is more exciting though lol. Top water is a visual stimulation and worms or whatnot are more of a psychological one.
  6. Had LSP SWAT doing a search warrant for me this morning, felt kinda bad for those guys but they loved it. Which made everything ok lol
  7. Same, bout to take advantage of it too!
  8. @Catt you let it sink or stay on top?
  9. Man, I had no idea. Only buy their plastics from DSG
  10. DSG has all Z-Man products buy 1 get 1 half off. Jackhammers are included
  11. I own ZERO rain gear that doesn’t say Sheriff lol. I’ll be watching the classifieds @A-Jay if you decide to sell
  12. I’m headed to Mississippi for a two week school on how to safely disassemble meth labs. Wind chill will be around 17 lol. Still brought 4 baitcast combos with me. I’m fishing one way or another.
  13. Wait an hour or so and it’ll change completely.
  14. Found that here in Lake Charles. Hopefully they still have a spool or two tomorrow.
  15. Almost 80 this week and low 30’s next. This is why we can’t have nice things
  16. Red Sox nation!
  17. First bass I ever caught on the coveted Toledo Bend was on a Texas rigged red Shad Culprit worm. From that point on, I’ve got a setup dedicated to the Texas rig. Doesn’t matter if I’m bank fishing or in a boat, got one ready to go.
  18. @Brewp13 the launch in Orange is nice especially living only about 25 minutes from it in Sulphur. The launch at burnout is awesome and you can fish immediately after launching. The drawback to burnout is people really don’t take care of it and the ramp itself can get kinda sketchy. Once you’ve backed a boat down it a time or two you’ll learn where the steep drop off is. @Catt especially during duck season back in those marshes.
  19. Experienced this first hand on a white chatterbait. Took forever fighting with it
  20. Like @EWREX said, a good 3-4 inch swim bait like a Keitech swing impact fats (sexy Shad, bluegill flash, sight flashetc.), strike king rage swimmer, and of course.....a fluke (smokin Shad, watermelon, albino, pro blue pearl) I throw the fluke weightless but throw the Keitechs on a 1/4oz weighted swimbait hook. Slow roll with the occasional pop to draw attention.

Whenever I see colors I like in any of their hard baits I grab them. I’ve had good success with their cranks and I’ve got one that stays tied on as my “go to”.
  22. DSG has $10 off any $50 purchase ends tonight.
  23. Same goes for me here in Louisiana. Academy has the better selection but DSG has the much better prices.
  24. Ah crap, might have been a one time use thing with a specific code. Sorry about that gents
