Off topic, but the Vietnam Vets get a crap ton of respect from me. Being in Iraq during OIF 1 I honestly can’t imagine what it was like during the battle for Hue city or the Tet Offensive. Got a $75 gift card to BPS for Christmas. Both BPS are just over two hours from me and I have no planned trips into Texas or Denham Springs. Would you buy whatever you wanted online and hope it’s what you thought it was? Buy only what you didn’t have to worry about quality wise? Or sell/trade it? They've got a pretty good selection online but seem overly pricey compared to my local two big box style stores.

Just my .02 but I’d say if you’re throwing the larger swim baits on a regular basis you should look into something with a lower gear ratio maybe 6.4ish. Buddy of mine bought a revo winch for swim baits and it seems to be handling them with relative ease.

My biggest bass ever 4lbs. Caught on a Savage Gear 5 inch baby bass paddle tail swim bait in the Sabine River near Orange, Texas.

Work plain clothes a lot and as of now I carry a Glock 26. Recently put about 1000 rounds through it in three days without a malfunction. Great concealed carry double stack pistol. I was able to get the 26 issued to me. At one point I owned a Glock 43 but it was stolen one day while at academy lol

Microfiber cloth here too. I’ve used Oakley bags as well but when they’ve got any sort of saltwater on I stick with just the cloth.

Hey A-Jay yeah I kinda expected it to be a whole lot of favorites mostly of the top brands. I was really curious to see if there were members on here who were loyal to one brand. Most of the time when someone is loyal to one particular brand of whatever it is, there’s a good reason. A lot of the time those reasons are pretty good reads lol

Pretty simple here, just curious to see how many people out there stick to one brand exclusively and if it’s by choice or another reason such as a sponsorship. Not comparing popularity of companies or anything it’s more just me trying to settle an argument with my brain.

Went to academy today to replace a Berkeley lightning rod I broke this morning setting the hook on a decent sized bass. They’ve got the Lews IM8 combo that’s normally $139 on clearance for $79. Might wanna jump on it while you can gents.

I’d be willing to be that, or maybe a slight variation of that, happens at every big box store like DSG and Academy. The dude behind the counter at my local store was useless as all hell and was essentially just filling a spot. He’s tried to talk fishing to me before but when he started trying to tell me to give the A.B.U. Garcia (yes....he spelled out ABU Garcia) I stopped listening.

So there I am, minding my own business at my local Academy when as I usually do, took a quick glance into the Daiwa section they keep behind the glass counter. A little yellow tag caught my eye and I did a double take because I didn’t believe what I was seeing. Upon further investigation....my eyeballs were right and yes....I bought it.
