Reels: Shimano/Daiwa (with a few Abu mixed in). Rods and everything else: It really depends and is a mix/match of a bunch of different brands.

Daiwa Spinning Rods opinions
No my Cronos locks from the bottom with no threads exposed. I just took a picture of it but it says that my file size for the picture is too big. Send me your email and I will show what you what the Cronos spinning looks like. Thanks!

Daiwa Spinning Rods opinions
I too have two Cronos rods in 7'6" (both the F and XF). One is fitted with a Luvias 3012H and the other I rotate reels on. They are honestly do everything rods and I find myself using them over my St. Croix Legend Xtreme and even the two ET Smallmouth rods I have (6'9 ML). I have a regular Tatula casting (with SV103H), an Elite AGS (with SS SV103SH and SHA spool), and a Cronos casting (with OG Fuego 100H). They are all awesome...especially for the price! If you are looking at the Tatula Elite without AGS, just get a Cronos at a better price (they are very, very similar aside form color). The AGS is really awesome and very sensitive. What specific models are you looking at?

I picked up a Diablo Spec R. I am looking forward to it. What is the handle length on that versus the Spinnerbait Special? Thanks!

Lowe L1448M question
I have the chance at buying a 2008 Lowe L1448M modified-V jon boat with a 2008 Valu-Line (SeaLion) galvanized trailer. The boat comes with oars and two 55lb. thrust electric motors (one older (late 1990s early 2000s) motor guide and one newer (2008-2011 or so) minn-kota). The boat and trailer are in great condition. It has been used only a handful of times. What is a reasonable price to pay for this boat and trailer?

Daiwa Tatula LT 2500D vs. 4000
Bought the 4000 size after a few guys (and pros) recommended this size for the rod and applications I was using (7'6" M/ML Cronos rod). I love the reel and for the size, it is very compact and very light (just over 7oz. for the 4000). It is ridiculously smooth and the matte black color is very understated and slick. I think I want to add another for my Legend Xtreme. My next one will be a 3000 for that rod. Hope this helps!

Ok so maybe not that recent http://www.tackletour.net/viewtopic.php?t=52490 I just remembered reading about it and the camo aftermarket handle as well. Good luck in your search for one!

Daiwa Tatula LT 2500D vs. 4000
I am in the market for a stealthy looking reel to match my Daiwa Cronos 7'6" M/ML spinning rod and the Tatula LT seems to be where I am at. However, I am up-in-the-air between the models. The 2500 seems to have a deep spool and holds the same capacity as the 4000. The 2500 weighs 6.2oz. and the 4000 is 7.4oz (still super light for a reel this size). The IPT of the 4000 is something like 39" which is awesome but I figured I would ask you guys to give comparisons for either. Will the 2500 size/weight make the the rod seem a little tip heavy? It seems like many guys are going with the larger arbor spools on their spinning reels and I do see the benefit as I do use larger arbor reels. For instance, on my other Cronos 7'6" rod, I have a Luvias 3012H. Not sure where the 3000 size Tatula LT reels fall into place here (both deep and standard spool) but it seems like the new 4000 size is closer to Daiwa's older 3000 size reels. Right now, TW is the only place I see with 4000 size reels in stock. Any help and/or input would be appreciated. Thanks and best wishes on the water!

High End Spinning Reels?
I have a Luvias 3012H that is honestly my favorite spinning reel. I own a Ci4+ and it is truly great as well but the drag on the Daiwa is just incredible. I like the larger spool size as well since it has a 37" IPT which is key in deep water finesse fishing. I have it on a 7'6" Cronos that is awesome. I got my Luvias for $199 from a southern tackle shop and it also included a Daiwa Vector hat. If you look around you can probably still find one for close to that price.

Which Daiwa would you recommend
I agree. I honestly think that after many years of using only Shimano, the SV103 reels that I own are truly some of the best reels I have ever had the pleasure of using. And yes, the options are endless! I have 5x103H and 3x103XS. I don't know if anybody still have them in stock in RH but I could always use another new XS!

Steez EX 3012H - $467
I actually sent the reel back because my Luvias 3012H felt so close and I paid $199. Too bad I can't find another Luvias at that price.

Dobyns HP spinning?
I tested a bunch of Sierra rods at Cabela's and they all did this with a variety of reels from a variety of brands. Took those same reels and put them on another rod brand with the same Fuji seat and they all worked perfectly. I showed one of the employees and he was stumped too.

Which Daiwa would you recommend
I currently have a Tatula SV 103H RH for sale (just have two many reels at this point) that if someone is interested in, I could probably work with the price a little. It is brand new and has new line on it. No box, but I might have an extra box I can ship it in aside from the actual shipping package. If interested, please PM me.

Elite Tech Smallmouth
Mine came but I had to unfortunately return them. They just didn't fit right with the reels. The reel seats were super tight (yes I know the cork will mold into them eventually) and on one, the back split grip blank was scratched pretty bad. They are refunding me but mine were shipped in a thick cardboard tube with packing so they couldn't move. They were returned the same way they came. Strangely, they (FFO) called me to process the return since they don't store info in their system. The girl I talked to was super nice so just in case you have to return them, they were more than helpful.

Mine should be here tomorrow! Hopefully they are nice!

Daiwa Cronos 7'6" F vs. XF Spinning...
I like the feel of the CN761MMLFS a lot. Have a 3012H that I just paired on it when it arrived. I also picked up the XF which has a little different butt section of the rod (back blank is a little thicker). On the description, it says it is an XF-ST. Does anyone know what that means? Thank you!

Elite Tech Smallmouth
I have two like I said on order but just saw a listing on eBay that also offers the 69mh and indicates in the description that the factory put a small brand in the back end of the handle to indicate that the rod is not covered under warranty. I sure hope not and for the price regardless, it is still a good deal but just thought I would pass it along. Has anyone received their rod(s) yet to confirm? Maybe that's not the case with FFO but I just thought it was coincidental that this rod is also offered for the same price on eBay since all of a sudden they showed up again from a few years ago.

Daiwa Cronos 7'6" F vs. XF Spinning...
Thank you! I saw the Youtube video on him debuting the Cronos and he said the "super fast" tip and didn't know which model he was referring to.
