Just some fun cheapo stuff...I love these reels and they are great as knock arounds or for kids to learn on. Abu Garcia Blue Max (Wally World special) with a cheap CF handle from eBay. Total with line is less than $50 and it fires casts out there like crazy! I have three of them and ordered handles for all just because the 106mm handle length is nice for my bigger hands.

I purchased from them about 2-3 years ago without a problem.

Are these the regular Nanoace or the Iovino special rods?

4600C4. The narrow version of the reel and to me more comfortable to fish with overall.

These are righties. Glad a grabbed them as they were just listed and I debated quickly but bought then both thinking what the heck.

How does the FMJ compare to the X-Bites and Super Destroyer P5's?

The Wally World special "Blue Max" combo is a heck of a deal for $68. It's an excellent caster too.

Columbia Craw, Nope...you're not nuts! I agree fully that those little differences make a huge impact on a fishing day. The company is from Ukraine called SDS Customs. His stuff is like Hedgehog and the like and his shipping is quick. Things get here faster from him in another continent then some of my domestic mail.

Gen 1 premier came out in about in about 2006/2007 I think. This is the Gen 2 I am talking about:

Gen 1 and Gen 2 reels had a different body style. The 3 and 4 are more compact but feel wider to me if that makes sense. I believe the 1 and 2 had an aluminum frame and side plates too.

I was on the big auction site and saw two NIB from a sporting goods store in NJ that were listed at $119 shipped each. They are sold out now but was that a decent price for this generation reel? Never put much thought into what these older reels are going for now. I had a Gen 1 STX, SC, and Premier but never used a 3 and the 4 felt not so comfortable in my hand. I collect/use Daiwa, Shimano, and Abu reels and I know many of the classic models go for a good amount. What about 5-6" Magdrafts?

Picked up one a few weeks back when they ran that crazy priced sale on TW. It's -8 wind chill today in the Northeast but my cabin fever has me thinking the best uses for this rod. I have a Tatula 150 with lime SLP knobs on it (yes I know Shimano with a Daiwa). If you have this rod, what techniques are you using it for and does the rod stand out for the price? Sometimes you have to love a beater... Ambassadeur C4 with some upgrades: Bearing supported cog wheel Ceramic pawl Lighter brake blocks 100mm white acrylic knob handle Cleaned, bearings flushed, everyone lubed, and it ZINGS! It's got some marks cosmetically but this is going to be a crank/chatter/spinnerbait machine.

I have to say the quality and fit is amazing. I will be buying from them again. I purchased the purple cast control cap from them too. The nut cover and screw is also SDS.
