Good heavy power rod that isn’t…heavy?
my daiwa tatula 7’1 heavy definitely doesn’t feel like an all around “heavy” rod. the blank towards the bottom near the reel seat is almost the same diameter as my tatula medium heavies. definitely more backbone though

Rod and Line for Fluke Fishing
7ft medium action with 8lb test is my go to. i’ll sometimes throw a fluke on casting gear with slightly heavier line in the summer when tossing in thicker cover

dark sleeper by far. i have like 8 of them in every size and weight and have thrown them a ton. never once got a sniff

water temps should be rising so look for points that are close to shallower flats and have deep water access. fish should be moving up. throw jerkbaits, hair jigs, ned rigs, shallow cranks, tubes try this point right at the beginning of the sherman arm- Are there any good all around Medium casting rods?

i would target smallmouth and try to get a limit with hair jigs, ned rig, tubes, jerkbaits. look for rocky points and humps that are near deeper water- What's your FAVORITE rod in your arsenal?

uhhhh candlewood is just shy of 5400 acres and the most heavily pressured lake in the state with 4-5 tournaments a week from early April to October... and it still takes over 20 pounds minimum to win a tournament 99% of the time. not sure what you're talking about when it comes to the quality of fishing- Fluorocarbon line
