They changed the sale on St.Croix..... They were 40% off for avids, now you have to buy 3 to get 40% off.Just one rod is 20% off. Also the Elites were $198. now they are showing for $260? Glad I got in Tuesday on the Elite series. Anyone else notice the price change? I double checked my email to look at the invoice and the elite series were $198. Might have been an error on the website?

I too get to see deer often in my yard they use it as a go between from the state land across the street to the private land behind me. Just saw my first nice buck of the season Sunday morning, it was a nice size eight and was hanging around a doe. We started a collection of pics this year of when we see them.

Think I am going to go with Boat US. They had some great angler/bass boat policies at a good rate. I see there tugs and tow boats a lot of Saginaw bay and St.Clair which is nice.

Great post Muddy.. A lot of great replies also. As far as spinning symetre, Very smooth and a reel that will last forever. At the right times at BPS can be combo'd with a Extreme Rod for 130. Also like my old Clarus rod for the money. Never tried a caster in this range though, looking forward to reading more though.

On a big body of water like Lake St.Clair or Saginaw Bay I rarely use more than $100 unless you are counting towing it to the lake? As far as little inland lakes 250-700acres it is almost always battery power. My biggest cost is the payment , after constant new tackle and everything else the gas part never seems to bad to me.

Who do you use for Boat insurance and are you happy with the service? I have been using progressive because they were the cheapest for me on my last boat but :( New boat is over two times the amount for the year (600). Does a bass boat with a 225 just cost that much more than fish and ski with a 200 to insure? Boat values arent the far off at replacement cost. Tried my homeowners but they were even worse. :'( Never had a claim on anything before.

Do you mean the stock market up? It is above 13000 which was a record set this year I believe. I know people fear a crash when it stays this high. Even with todays slide in the Financial stock sector the market is much stronger than it has been is history. Doesn't mean it couldn't drop though.

Planning on getting out this weekend if it is going to be nice. They are calling for low 50's and sunny so sounds good, been snow/rain mix and cloudy the past week. Just planning on local small lake though.

I have 2, one I use for spinnerbaits and the other for frogs. I believe they are suited best for this type of application. I love the look and feel of them in hand. I think they cast smooth and I love the micro-click control knob. The finish is holding up nicely also but only one season of use. They are on the heavy side though, just depends if you mind that or not. Looking forward to getting a crazy cranker over winter.
