  1. What is Gander Mountain waiting on? The two local ones to me have a ton of them at full price still.
  2. Looking forward to them coming to Ford field, always a good game. Detroit is un-stoppable at home this year. Not sure but the Lions must be drinking red bull this season? Packers have always been a close 2nd favorite team.
  3. Hey Gleen, need an assistant
  4. Being bored, going to the fishing and boat shows. Taking a couple vacations somewhere warm. Gives me a chance to hit the gym more seeing there isnt any else to do. Watching the Lions in the super bowl lol, Plan to get down south at least once to fish this year.
  5. Looking nice. Have you had other split grip rods before? I cant seem to get use to the feel. Nice reels too.
  6. I check mine all the time as a compulsive habit when on I fishing and never had one come loose. Sorry to hear about your issue, I love my avids.
  7. Lady bug or Japanese beetle . They are everywhere up her this time of year. Cant keep them out of the house, truck, anything. What a pain.
  8. I have a similar issue which my driveway. It is long almost 1/4 mile and narrow with hills. To make it worse there is no room to turn around the boat up by the house. Having a crew cab truck doesn't help the matter. I have wondered too about a ATV to get it turned around and in the garage. I have to drive it up past the house into the back yard and turn it around there and then get it in place. The neighbors must think I am nuts Let use know about what you come up with on the ATV. Plus I have been trying to convince the better half I need an ATV to plow the driveway in winter.
  9. When I got started in bass fishing alot of people told me to get an external magnetic brake. But after learning for myself I rarely adjust it anyways. Either way I don't think you will go wrong with your choices.
  10. After many many MANY years of hard reel n rod handling. I find it difficult to argue with the aforementioned recommendation. Especially when the gears are young and tight. However as the crank ages one will notice that the worm gear no longer slides into the pawl with the ease and certainly of those tender years. Yet all is not lost. Simply turn the reel over and locate the small pucker/pawl hole Reelmech spoke of. Apply liberal amounts of preparation H. It works wonders for the chafing so often noted in older models. 8-) Sure is alot of astroglide talk going on. It your set up is smooooooth like myself it never needs a lubricate.
  11. Yeah, I am most interested in the expo also. Be nice just to get out of Michigan that time of year.
  12. The burger king guy again. My son wants to be a ninja again this year so that is easy if it still fits.
  13. I am glad to get rid of it as it was a fish and ski, but it was my first big boat and I kinda miss it :'( All the good time we shared together, will the new owner treat it well? :'( I am ready for a bass boat though as all I really did was fish out it anyways. Feels funny to miss something like a boat, but I guess it is the times I had and not the boat.
  14. How is it for finesse? I have the spinning but have heard the caster is good for finesse also?
  15. Going to be the Colts, it will be a great game either way. GO LIONS :
  16. Wondering if anyone else was planning on attending the classic this year? I am planning on going with a couple people from the local club. One of there sons made it to the kids classic which is on the same lake as the womans I think but it should be fun as I have never been.
  17. AND ME! Search this part of the forum for "Tierra" and you will read report after report of a top notch reel for the money. Thanks, LBH, you are the one that made me decide to try the tierra.
  18. It happens all the time on ebay. Look at some of the reels. People are bidding up too what you can get one new for.
  19. you beat me too it... Rw advice has always steared me in the right direction.
  20. It is hard to have a favorite. hmmm, jigs and tubes. Love drifting on St.Clair. Spring please come soon.
  21. I like my Tierra also. After a season of use I have no complaints. The tierra in my humble opinion almost as nice as my sol for half the price. I don't have any experience with the Saros but if it is Shimano is is going to be good.
  22. Old zebco when I was a kid. funny how they are pretty much the same now as 25yrs ago. Then I got a hand me down mitchell spinning reel which was born way before me. I though I was big stuff then.
  23. I looked at the quickly but the avids looked the same as before except ipc logo on them
  24. lol, what is this daiwa and shimano you speak of?
