  1. Hey, Just a heads up. Sportsman warehouse is no longer going to stock the Sol or Fuego line, also Tierra spinning and they have them on clearance. Sol and Fuego Casting 179.00 Sol spinning 179.00 and tierra spinning 89.00 Had a couple 10.00 off coupons and for that price couldn't pass up a sol casting and spinning. Michigan location still had a couple casting sols in stock and could be sent to other stores. Hope someone gets in a a pretty decent deal.
  2. mmm, they tasted a lot better back 10 years or so ago before they removed the trans fats. Ever try the Edy'd Ice cream with Girl scout cookies?
  3. normally 65 or so at night and during the day and 68 the rest of the time. Like it cooler to sleep though. With the ac 68-70 in the summer. I would welcome some hot day right about now though.
  4. 2.98- 3.20 or so depending on where. Seems to be the norm theses days. We will welcome 3.20 if gas gets up to what they are expecting the summer.
  5. congrats, always a lot of great input form you.
  6. Did the google thing here also. Was searching bass fishing. Glad I found it.
  7. I could think of a lot worse searches to come up in. Held a elite tech a couple weeks back and felt pretty nice.
  8. wow now that is some crazy thinking. I like innovation and all but come on.
  9. Looked around for information but can't seem to find much. Anyone on here own a Steez SVF Graphite rod? Looking at the casting rod line. Have pretty much all St.Croix's and was wondering if they are that much better than and Elite series rod? It looks pretty nice and going to match it with a Steez but can't seem to find and real opinions on the series of people that actually own one.
  10. That is the one thing I have always wondered about. I don't think a spinning rod would make a lot of a difference but I cast two handed on BC. I will have to play with one at the store to see how casting like you said feels. Just think it is something different that I have to get use too.
  11. Hey Jim, I have a chance to get a real good deal on a 7ft LTA heavy spinning reel. My question is how does the action compare to loomis or st.croix if you can compare or you have a kistler heavy action. I am looking for a rod just for drifting tubes on the bottom in the river and heavy action seems a little too much? Any help is great. Also if it helps I am use to stcroix actions more than anything, avids, elites and tournys.
  12. With the rebate the Curado. If internal brakes is an issue there are plenty of other options listed above with external braking. At the price point there are a lot of nice reels, just depends what you like.
  13. also if you are near a bass pro during the reel trade in program you can get a zillion for $200 new. Cant beat that. I have 3 zillions and one JPN zillion cranker and I love them all. Never had an issue with them and love the looks of them. They are a tad heavy but function great for med and hvy lures.
  14. see for cranking I like a low speed. I use 4.9 to 1 but thats just me. I never really burn a crank. I have 7 to 1's but even if I can remember to reel slow I think it is better on a low speed reel.
  15. Plan on getting one for the sol, just look pretty together. I think it will be just fine for light cranks with is all I need it for. Mixed reviews from what I can see.
  16. I think it is to protect the small mouth spawn.
  17. I could be off here, but I now St.Clair is behind normal and I thought it was the 3rd Saturday in June. But I think that is to Harvest, I think it is catch and immediate release the last Saturday in April as I know they have paper tournaments on St.Clair in May.
  18. MICHBASS i believe you are mistaken. it's 5 for $10 on Terminator T-2 Titanium Spinnerbaits. that's an amazing deal! but yea you're right about our pro's here at the auburn hills, MI store. I'll go anyway. There's a few things i'll pick up. Yeah you are right. I guess 5 for 25 would be retail. I bet they go quick that morning though.
  19. Best of luck Robert. Nice to see you are keeping the family business name in tack.
  20. Oh its coming... Cant wait. Highs in the 30's this weekend, now that is going to feel like spring compared to lately. makes me more and more serious about moving south. Love St.Clair though.
  21. wow is it 60? I get it for free due to being a member of bass and bass federation. Not sure I would pay 60 for it though. There are some cool videos on there though. Do the free 30 day and watch all the videos.
  22. Had a perfect view of it. Tried to take some pics but didn't turn out. Pretty sweet.
  23. Besides spinnerbaits, do you think there is any advantage in using 7.1 for frogs?
  24. Not really anyone big coming to Michigan. The sales are ahh, well the same as most bps sales. Although 5 for 25 T2's is a good one. Always worth checking out though being so close. Nothing else to do with the ice.
  25. Sufix Braid here. Only issue seems to fade real quick. Don't use a lot of braid though but when I do it Sufix..
