  1. Sorry for your loss A-Jay I’m sure she’ll be waiting for you.
  2. @Darth-Baiter I listened to the podcast yesterday, thanks for the link. Not sure if anyone watched or remembers the Nicholas Cage show “History of swearing” it was on Netflix.

I have nothing against Bass Pro in fact quite the opposite but I consider myself blessed to have 2 great mom and pop tackle shops about a half hour from my house.
  4. Although it’s $10.00 above your target price I’m going to suggest the new Bass Pro Shop Microlite rods. I have the higher priced version and highly recommend them. As a bonus BPS has a very generous warranty on their house brand rod’s especially.
  5. @TnRiver46 If I can catch bass on my $1.00 Wal Mart spinnerbaits you can too? #dont stop believing ?
  6. @Fallser Although I wasn’t raised Catholic and didn’t join the service when my older brother came home from the service and said “can someone pass the blanking salt please” my older sister and I weren’t sure if my dad was going to kill him or not. To tell you the truth dinner conversation was a lot more interesting from that day forward ?
  7. 2 of my favorites I speak of quite a bit are my Lews Hank Parker rod which is still available at my local Wal Mart and my favorite being myEagle Claw Brent Chapman “Insight Pro Advantage” rods.
  8. I’ve worked construction my whole adult life and when I worked for one of the largest construction companies in Chicago one of my superintendents was from Ireland. His then 7-9ish year old daughter was visiting the job one day and he dropped the C-word like it was going out of style, when we were done talking I had to ask my Irish work partner about this who informed me it doesn’t have the same meaning back home as it does here. In fact one of my first interactions with the superintendent ended with him telling me and my work partner to “now get back to work you blanking blanks” I just figured he didn’t like me?
  9. @Darth-Baiter if you don’t mind can you share the podcast? I drive a truck and the radio gets quite repetitive. Thanks
  10. Although I haven’t had a chance to use the rod yet I have a 7’-0” Okuma TCS medium plus. It has a soft tip but a good amount of back bone. I’m thinking this rod should be perfect for the smaller mini max.
  11. @PUTitinYOURmouthFISH more power to you I was just offering a suggestion ?
  12. Take the reel and braid to a reputable tackle shop and pay them to spool it up. Works every time for me even if I didn’t buy the braid from them. It cost me a few dollars and the braid will last me several seasons.
  13. Congratulations to you sir ??
  14. That just made my night?. Where is/was the house they filmed/rented? As a side note the “Oh Fudge” scene has me rolling every time I see it ??
  15. I’m going to offer up if you want a true ultralight as MnFisher pointed out Tackle Warehouse doesn’t carry rods for that niche. My suggestion would and will be a Daiwa Legalis 1000 ($79.99) from Tackle Warehouse and a Panfish Elite rod from Bass Pro Shop also ($79.99) In whatever length suits you. I have the 6’-8” ultralight and a 7’-2” light powered rods and I cannot recommend them enough which I do quite often on this site, the rods are built above their price imho.
  16. Those colors/markings are absolutely awesome. Very healthy looking ??
  17. That was my moms favorite Christmas movie ?
  18. @Cbump Best of luck to you ??
  19. I loved the report but man this photo is awesome. I appreciate you sharing your wife’s photos and they are beautiful but this one…d**n dude.
  20. I have the CA80, a BPS Carbonlite 2.0 which I believe has been established as a LFS with dual braking and an SLX along with a Tatula CT which is a Fuego with the T-Wing. I recommended the Fuego based on imho having the easiest braking system to use with a heck of a range again imho. I would put the SLX second based on the recommendations given just for the fact if it’s the op’s only baitcaster he may have to open the side plate more often to change the brake settings based on lure weights where again the fuego is completely external brake adjustment. As far as my Carbonlite I like it but feel the other 2 are better and that includes better than my CA80. I bought my my CA80 for $65.00 and at that price I would highly suggest it.
  21. Daiwa Fuego $119.99 so right around $100.0
  22. Good afternoon all. So I’m looking into renting and fishing the Monee reservoir as a way to try out kayak fishing but I’m not sure what they’re renting. What I mean by that does anyone know if they’re sit on vs sit in? Do they come with an anchor or do I need to bring one? Any advice on Monee or any other waters that offer kayak rentals and what to bring would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
