Baitcaster vs Spinning
I have that reel and like it. My suggestion is a medium heavy rod in your price range. They are the most versatile. Reasons for casting for me: larger baits, better accuracy, ability to handle heavier # test line, longer casts, and they work better with fluorocarbon line than spinning reels. That being said, I have twice as many spinning setups as I do bait casters.

Jig Heads
I do a lot of finesse fishing and have used all shapes of heads. For most of it the shape of the head is not relevant for me. However, when fishing an Elaztech product and not swimming it, I want the mushroom head so that it has a better chance of settling with the tail in the air. If I am swimming then a minnow or aspirin head is better for me but I only swim them when it is windy.

FLIPPING HOOK WHOLESALE
You may have to call one of the hook manufacturers direct and see if they will sell to you. I don't know how many you need but a minimum order will probably be in the thousands.

Home Storage for Rods/Reels
No I did not realize that. I’ve never heard that one. What is it that would cause this to happen? Is this for all lines or certain types?

Ideas for storing spare spools?
I keep mine in a cloth bag inside of a gallon ice cream container. Several years now no problems.

How many have mostly abandoned the Ned Rig
I can only go down to a 3/32 oz head with a bait caster. I mostly throw 1/16 on my spinning setups.

How many have mostly abandoned the Ned Rig
I am getting there. I am down to 5 designated Ned rig setups and still have several of the 44 TRD packs that my daughter bought me.

First Boat Learning Curve.....Steep
The trolling motor will get easier to operate. Just stick with it. The best advice I can give you is to learn to operate it with both feet. Use your right foot when fishing from the left side of the boat and left foot when fishing from the right side. Keep the foot pedal centered on the deck, preferably screwed down so you will always know where it is located. Like any other activity repetition is the way to success. Good luck and have fun.

What makes a wirebait unique?
I make a lot of my own spinner baits and buzz baits. Most are heavy wire. However, I like the action of lighter wire. Of those on the market I like War Eagle best. The biggest problem with them is the light wire. Half a dozen fish and the wire would break. I have come up with something that exponentially increases their life. Lately I have had to replace worn out skirts while the bait is still going strong. I wrap the R with floral wire then cover it with shrink tubing. That diminishes the bending problem and gives them longevity without changing the vibration capabilities of the bait.

Bass Boat Care Essentials
If you put on 3 coats of BTS you won’t need anything besides a wet cloth and a dry towel for a couple of months.

Hair Jigs
I tie my own. I make a lot of different colors. I mix crystal flash in most of mine. I don’t use trailers. I use light weight most of the time as I swim twitch them in shallow water. My best all time day time is a blue and white with red chennile. My best night color is navy blue and orange.

Why so much Red and Maroon on Bass Boats?
That means you probably wouldn't like my boat or truck. My boat is a red and silver Nitro Z20 and my truck is a red double cab Ford F250.

Dumb Question
I just practice it on real ones in the lake, no brush to get rid of. Why not throw a bait through tree limbs.

Ned Rig Conbo?
That sounds like it will work. All of my Ned setups are shorter than my power setups. That is just the way I like it. My experience with lines comes from fishing with several other guys. I have found that those who don’t use fluorocarbon get to watch me catch more fish than them. Based on that I recommend you use a fluorocarbon leader.
