  1. I have a friend who had a large Oscar. He put a bass just a little smaller in with it and came home to the bass sticking out of the Oscar's mouth. My point is always keep in mind what you want and don't want being eaten.
  2. My wife works with AI now. They already know. 😬🤣
  3. This may over my head a bit. Thanks for the reply. I may just stick to adding waypoints on the fish finders.
  4. Jig Man solved the Lowrance to Humminbird conversion. Here is a more difficult one. I would like to start converting waypoints on Google Earth to Lowrance and/or Humminbird. I understand the process of saving the place as a .kml file. How then do you convert the .kml files in bulk to .gpx, .hwr or .usr files. If you use GPS Babel, it requires them to be converted one at a time. Does anybody know of a converter that will convert a list of .kml waypoint files all at once instead of individually? I asked ChatGPT how to do a batch conversion with GPSBabel. It gave me this. foreach ($file in Get-ChildItem *.kml) { gpsbabel -i kml -f $file.FullName -o hwr -F ($file.BaseName + ".hwr") } Where do I put my input filename and output filename? Or how will it know what those files are?
  5. As far as that goes, even converting hwr to usr or any conversion. I have both Humminbird and Lowrance in the one boat. It would be nice to convert all from one to the other for installation.
  6. Multiple .gpx files.
  7. Does anybody know how to covert .gpx files to .hwr or .usr in bulk without converting them one by one. I have used GPS Babel and it requires you to convert them one by one (at least I think). I have about 200 waypoints to convert and it sure would be easier to be able to do all of them at once.
  8. My spider plant that has succumbed to the heat. There were probably 350 babies on there.
  9. Cool moth. I haven't seen one of those before.
  10. Walked up on this drama unfolding on our property a couple of years ago. Proof you don't need to kill kingsnakes.
  11. My three legged Doodle, Willa Mae.
  12. I say either, "There's one" or "Got one". I have also been known to say, "Get the net....nevermind".
  13. I got into bass fishing because of my Granddad. My first fishing trip was with him. Our first stop was to catch crawdads in a ditch near the house. The first lesson I learned was not to go catch crawdads. They kept nipping him and it was the only time I heard that man cuss. Next we went to Swift Ditch to wet a line. We used cane poles, floaters and crawdads. Almost immediately, my pole was about taken out of my hand by what then seemed to be a really large bass. We went on other fishing trips but always caught catfish. As I came into my teenage years I started longing for that large bass again. I started teaching myself but wasn't very good at it. By my senior year in high school, I started fishing with my best friend, Tommy. He was a good bass fisherman. He taught me a lot of what I know. When I entered the working world, I worked with a tournament fisherman named Mark who taught me the rest of what I needed to know to become a decent bass fisherman. Fast forward to now, I love to study bass and bass fishing methods, locations, lures etc... It is my one hobby and sport.
  14. Luna Moth, Old Stone Fort State Park, Manchester, Tennessee.
  15. I was going to type, practically, the same exact thing. Just can't do it and don't want to spend the time on it. However, if that is something you find useful and want to add it to your arsenal, then do it! It may come in handy for you.
  16. One of my most productive baits fishing rip rap from the bank is a buzzbait. I love to parallel the rip rap with it. I will often follow that up by hitting the little pockets in the riprap with a wacky rig.
  17. 3 inches give or take. I have taken some pics of Sphinx moths that were huge! Luna moths too.
  18. Imperial Moth on our car at home.
  19. Doe at Sunrise at Cades Cove, Smoky Mountains.
  20. My furry kids.
  21. Nice! I am in West Tennessee about an hour east of Memphis.
  22. If you don't mind my asking, what area of Tennessee did you come to?
  23. I love a buzzbait. I throw one on most if not all trips.
  24. I've had some epic evenings with that one!
