Do you say anything when hooking a fish?

Nothing. I'm usually by myself and a bass interrupts whatever song I'm singing.

Either “there we go”, “there’s one”, or “fish on”

Get the ne,,,,,,,,nevermind.

"Got you man...or That’s what I’m talkin’ about!"

"Gotcha!"

“There he is” if I”m with someone else.  I say the same in my head if I”m by myself.  Just habit now having done it for 35 years and learned it from my dad directly.  

Always “Yess!”; sometimes followed by “NOOOoooo..”

I fish alone lol.  So usually nothing. I say all kinda crap in my head though lol 

After thinking about it, I don't normally say anything if I'm by myself.

When fishing slower baits like soft plastics, I feel something or see the line moving, always say " here we go " .

Moving baits like spinnerbaits, don't have time to say anything, they just pound it.

I’d like to say that I have a witty catchphrase, but according to my wife it’s either “that’s a fish” or some kind of unintelligible grunting.

 

When I lose one at the boat, I am told that I start cursing in English, then work through Spanish, Apache, Navajo, and every other language I have managed to learn insults/cursing in. 

I don't normally say anything. The only time I say something is when I am near another angler and am concerned about our lines crossing. In that case I will say "Fish On" followed by "coming your way" or "going away from you".

I've been known to say "fish on" when fishing with a friend. More of a challenge to them to get in gear than an advisory statement.

I say "I'm on" when fishing and "Here we go" just before I draw my bow on an elk.

I say either, "There's one" or "Got one". I have also been known to say, "Get the net....nevermind". 

I dont know , maybe "Theres a bite"
