  1. He has put out some information and from what I gathered he went over a roller dam which his tin boat allows him to go over - glass boats can't do it. He never left the boat and drove it to these spots. He seemed to do his research.
  2. Has anyone been following the Keith Poche story? I believe Bassmaster is really messing up on this one - they should chalk this up to a learning experience and better define future tournament boundaries. Give him his win back IMO.
  3. The Spunk shad is from Hog Farmer and Missle baits afaik.
  4. Hear me out - I have had this problem with a couple buddies Daiwa reels. The problem was the nylon gears that drive the worm gear. These gears are very soft and subject to warping and getting out if shape if any piece gets in there. Try keeping one of those gears off and seeing if it still feels gears. Typically these gears are very cheap and easily replaced.
  5. I believe the Rep said they would be available in November
  6. Getting to use a few Rapala soft plastics.... A spunk shad KO, an elaztech ned and a swimbait.
  7. I use vmc crankbait snaps for all my jerkbaiting needs - one of the first things I do is take all the split rings off.
  8. This. This is how you figure out if the fish are just in a frenzy or keyed in on a certain bait...
  9. This does work to smooth the gears up when there is no load applied. But when you put a load on the rod, the reel and the spool there is a small flex and the gears are no longer meshed perfectly. So I say let them naturally break in and keep the reel clean and lubed...
  10. Daiwa J Braid 8 carrier or the one I am leaning towards more is Cortland Silent Flip. Silent Flip was life changing in regards to punching and swimbaiting for me...
  11. Spinning rods are great for catfish or panfish. Have you tried anything but cheap baitcasters? Some of the 200 dollar ones are near foolproof...
  12. I agree with the percentages but pressured bass add another layer.
  13. Haha...had this happen so many times. I stock up on a bait that never again has that "magical" day even in the same conditions.
  14. Over. The angle on a few of them makes it a bit confusing for someone new but it's definitely above like everyone else has said.
  15. From that angle it's hard to tell - could be the color combination and the paddletail you have on there that makes it special. It could be a 6th sense divine swimjig.
  16. I have flipped some 6" tubes before - thought they looked like a big frog swimming down. I used owner beast hooks with tungsten putty in the tube.
  17. The best one may be the Crazy Cranker Zillion. I have a Tat 100 for smaller squarebills and stuff, a Tat 150 for large cranks and the Zillion for 10xd's. Tat 100, Tat 150, 2016 Zillion TW and the Zillion HD all come in a 5.x.x gear ratio
  18. I was expecting to see it was caught on 5# line or something - 12# line isn't all that spectacular for a green bass tbh.
  19. I catch 3# bass all the time on 7" glides...
  20. I have stopped using split rings all together. For cranks and jerkbaits I use vmc crankbait snaps. For swimbaits I use tactical angler clips. I feel I get better knot strength tying to a clip and cam change things out quicker. Obviously I size the snap for the size of the bait...
  21. I don't know what mild Sieberts uses but this is my favorite that I get from the local shop: https://barlowstackle.com/Do-It-Hidden-Eye-Brush-Weedless-Jig-Molds-P263/?sku=473467&gclid=CjwKCAjwo7iiBhAEEiwAsIxQERK2CSVsXYnSzFvaoI1tzLAX0WeNqwi7o-dSnBI8JEaHBMdODr7bkBoCRmoQAvD_BwE
  22. Careful with Duckett rods...look at them funny and they snap. I have seen too many of them break on guys...
  23. They make great Keychains - that's about it What? That's awfully low - mine is somewhere around 90/10. Most of the fish I see lost on glides are due to inexperience and not using a net...
  24. Depends what you like and are used to...I hate the feel of spinnerbaits and chatterbaits on a "blade bait" rod. I prefer the crisp feel of a fast action.
