  1. It took me a while to find them, but I got lucky and found one set in stock at Bait Finesse Empire.
  2. Made a little upgrade to my Alphas Air TW handle.
  3. I know it isn't on your list, but I like a longer rod for those applications so I use the Daiwa Tatula Elite AGS 7'6" ML/M paired with a Daiwa Tatula LT 3000. That combo will launch a ned rig or hair jig pretty far, and it has good sensitivity.
  4. The Tatula SV's are great reels, but the 21 Zillion SV is just on a whole different level. If it is wihtin your budget I would get that without question.
  5. My Leatherman Charge TTi. I bring that with me everywhere I go, and get constant use out of it.
  6. My newest and current jerkbait setup is one I just acquired. St Croix Victory “The Jerk” 6’8” M/XF, with a Daiwa Tatula SV Limited spoiled with 10lb Tatsu.
  7. I use a 7’6” for most of my ned and hair jig fishing, and a 7’4” for my Neko fishing. I like the extra casting distance with my finesse stuff.
  8. I've been buying some different gear this winter to try this exact thing come spring time. I've got a bunch of 1/32 nail weights and some size 4 G-Finesse Neko hooks that will work. I haven't found my ideal worm for this yet though, and the closest I have come yet are some floating trout worms. I would just use the short roboworms, but I prefer a floating worm for my Neko rigs. Hopefully I will be able to find the perfect worm by ice out so I can give this a good test.
  9. Thank you for the heads up on the spot. I'm only about 30 minutes from there so I will have to check it out in the spring.
  10. The 21 Zillion quickly became my favorite reel of all time, and I really have zero complaints with it. I will likely be swapping out some of my other reels with more of the Zillions in the future.
  11. The monkey told me that I “needed” a new jerkbait setup.
  12. I pretty much use AbrazX for all bottom contact stuff, and Tatsu for Everything else.
  13. I own rods from Daiwa, Dobyns, Megabass, St Croix, Abu Garcia, Lews, Leviathan, Bass Pro, 13 Fishing, Temple Fork Outfitters, Favorite, Okuma, Tsunami, Tsurinoya, and Shakespear. Daiwa and Dobyns make up the overwhelming majority of my collection though.
  14. Omnia has a 20% off sale running through Jan 25th for premium members. Have to use code PREMIUMJAN22 at checkout.
  15. That's one of the good things with the Leviathan Omega rods. If they say their rod will throw a wieght range, it will actually throw that weight range. They are the only company I have found to date that is actually accurate with their ratings.
  16. Just got my “last” two orders in to allow me to give BFS fishing a try this year. I love the feel of this reel, and I must say I’m truly impressed with the quality of some of these little BFS lures.
  17. That rod should do great for hard swimbaits/glide baits with treble hooks. If you get into throwing soft swimbaits with jig hooks like the Huddleston baits you will likely want a faster action rod. I fish all of my big glide baits on a Leviathan Omega swimbait rod that has a nice parabolic action to it, and it's an amazing rod. All of my soft swimbaits with jig hooks get thrown on an Okuma Guide Select swimbait rod that has a much faster action to help drive home those big jig hooks.
  18. My current favorite has been the Bizz Baits Dizzy Diamond neko rigged with a 1/0 neko hook and a 1/8 Dobyn’s nail weight.
  19. I’ve ordered multiple rods from Tackle Direct and never had an issue with the way they were shipped.
  20. Bizz Baits Dizzy Diamond Bass Pro Stick O XZone MB Fat Finesse Berkley Maxscent Kingtail Worm Roboworm Straight tail 4.5” There are others that I use, but these have been my most used over the last season.
  21. I posted earlier about a reel, but wanted to add a lure. For lure I think the BizzBaits soft plastics specifically their Dizzy Diamond are an absolute hidden gem. I don’t know of too many people that use them, but they are great worms. That Dizzy Diamond has become my absolute favorite Neko rig worm, and I have caught a ton of fish on them since I started using them.
  22. Its a JDM reel. Almost identical to the Curado BFS.
  23. Well I decided this is the year I’m finally going to try BFS and see what it’s all about. I got the first couple of my orders in. I have to say I’m pretty impressed with this Tsurinoya rod for the money. It’s not a brand I ever would have looked at if I wasn’t looking at BFS stuff, but it’s actually built very well, and uses all Fuji components.
  24. From my personal gear I have to go with the Daiwa Saltist Back Bay spinning reels. They are every bit as smooth, if not even more so, than the Stradic FL and Tatula LT reels, and they are built like a tank. They are all around great reels for someone that needs a reel that they can use in both fresh and salt water.
