  1. I do slowly rotate everything I buy into my back pack eventually. None of it ever truly goes unused. Like a poster above said about not being able to find tackle like what happened last year, I don’t want that again either.
  2. That’s actually a very common thing for me too! I’ll think up and down that I have stumbled onto something new and then i get home to discover I have them already.
  3. Rod and reel in the mail as we speak to be delivered this week! Lews Mach Crush combo for the wife(I promise). I don’t think I want to venture into that world lol Thank you! I honestly have to say that my most acquired soft plastic would easily have to be Zoom trick worms for shakey head. I probably have every color at least to the point that I am finding new colors so I buy them only to discover that I already have two or three packs of them lol Ever since I started catching bass on shakey head setups I have been addicted to finding the perfect....colors. It’s easily my favorite technique for bass fishing.
  4. Hello all, I have a bait buying problem. I have two five gallon buckets in my man cave slap full of unopened soft plastics. Every time I say enough, I find a color or brand of colors that are calling my name. I will say that I am able actually use various different colors and types to see if I can find a hidden gem in there somewhere. I think the allure for me is thinking I’ll never have enough because they will all catch fish and I love variety. Not to mention I especially love the clearance bins full of old stock. I feel like I could stock a small army for a fishing trip or two. Im sure I’m preaching to the choir with everything I’ve said lol I’m sure many of you also have just as much or more than my little ole two buckets. I’m actually ok with my addiction as it makes for big trips to the water a lot! Edit: the bait monkey is sitting on my shoulder as I typed.
  5. I have never used a scent on any lure. Is it really effective? What would go well with shakey head and T rigged plastics?
  6. Yeah I understand that. Especially the part about work. I normally get told I have to work my entire weekend every time I have a trip planned. It almost never fails.
  7. I really would like to try sunline and the other flavors of seaguar myself.
  8. I literally bought a pack of those in zoom trick worm a few days ago.
  9. I wish they did that here with the colors.
  10. All I gotta do is convince my wife of that ?
  11. I am in the stocking phase already myself due to having been poorly prepared prior to COVID last year as well. All it takes is not being prepared one time. Same with our local dicks. Went in store to see what they had for stock and had an employee tell my wife and I that they quit selling fishing gear due to it all being “high theft” items. Who has to steal a $3.00 pack of plastics??
  12. Top: 1) Seaguar Red Label. All around the best knot holding and resistance at its price point IMO. I’m really wanting to try out the Invisix line too. 2) Strike King Tour- picked up several spools online on sale and was surprised because I took a leap of faith with it and it holds really well too. 3) Berkeley Vanish- I know I know lol. I picked up the only spool of 12lb fluoro that my local Walmart had on the shelf during COVID last year and to be completely honest, it did pretty well. The Bad: 1) Pline Fluoro clear. Right out of the gate the line would break with such ease that I wondered if it was made last century. It had the absolute worst bird nesting on any of my reels to boot.
  13. They really are a great rod! I have one paired with a tatula 100 for my jig setup and it is amazing.
  14. I use the same bass mafia organizer as well and I am very pleased with it. The price tag really set me back at first though.
  15. If you ever find yourself just really hating that god awful no good reel I’ll buy it from you lol just kidding. I am interested in how it works for you.
  16. Nice! I bet that thing will sling line a country mile.
  17. I try and do my level best to avoid others as much as I can for that reason exactly. Granted, it’s not always possible.
  18. Fishing line. Holy cow can fishing line really ruin my day. I’ve had the first cast of the day completely go ballistic into the worst bird nest imaginable to the point of having to re-spool new line from scratch. Yes, I always have more than one rig with me no matter what kind of fishing I’m doing in order to circumvent this issue, but most of the time I can bet money on the severity when it does happen. Even when it cast perfectly the day before. It never causes me to pack up and go home for the day, but it will really remind me of Darwin’s law constantly. edit: Ill add that hooking into someone else’s old abandoned line in a brush pile/cover always puts me in that mood too.
  19. Edit: yeah side ways as always Not pictured: 7’ MM Abu Vendetta Rod and a Wild River TT tackle backpack. Very happy with all especially anxious to try the under spins with the grubs.
  20. I have to agree. Every time I try and say enough, I find a great deal ironically.
  21. I only have used their soft plastics with decent success however I do have some of their hard baits in order from TW as we speak. I’ll keep you posted.
  22. I hate that you have had a bad time with tatulas my friend. I only have one tatula 100 that I bought last year and I put a lot of miles on it and it’s still going strong.
  23. Simple enough. How many setups do you think is enough? I am currently at four complete bait caster setups and I think I will stop at six. Honestly anymore than that seems like there isn’t any point. Six gives me the flexibility to where if I have an issue with a rod or reel, I can pick up another one and still have backups basically. Plus any particular ones I end up not liking will go unused or sold over time. Who am I kidding. I want as many as I can get lol Edit: We all have infinite space for tackle.
  24. I one two of the vendetta’s and one of the vengeance. The vendettas are amazing IMO for their price point, but the vengeance is terrible.
