Darken cork
Hey, I have several rods with very light color cork handles. I know about the U40 to seal the cork but I hear it doesn't really darken it. What can safely be used to darken the cork? Thanks

Nice bfs rod option
Yes I keep hearing about that particular rod, that might be the ticket

Nice bfs rod option
Hey, So I have had the scorpion bfs reel for a few years now, but I think it's time to get in the bfs world lol. I would probably use 6 pound line or 20 pound braid. Throw small crankbaits and finesse worms. Should I go medium light or light power? What are some good rod options to use with the scorpion bfs or bfs reels in general? What length would be good? Thanks

Hey, Caught some largemouth today, not the biggest but I'm still happy about it. One destroyed the body of my swimbait and left the hook and weight still hanging on 😆

Out in the lake or off the bank
Yes you can absolutely 😎

Out in the lake or off the bank
I agree completely, where I live the fishing is really good but a lot of areas have no trespassing or no fishing signs. Some really promising looking areas always get the X lol 😑

Out in the lake or off the bank
Well said, although I'm sure at times the boat can be a pain to get ready and not always cooperate lol

Out in the lake or off the bank
So do you always use a boat whenever possible or do you choose to fish from the bank in certain situations even if you can still use the boat?

Out in the lake or off the bank
So we have our preferences as anglers, whether it's fishing from a boat down a river or on a lake, or on foot from docks and the bank. Or switching it up between the two. Some people swear fishing by boat is the best way to catch fish and increases the odds. Others say bank fishing and casting by structures or foliage on foot is the best way they have caught fish. Where do you stand on this topic? Have you caught your best and/or most fish walking the banks or by using a boat when you can? Do you prefer bank fishing or trolling around in a boat? Interested in your viewpoints/responses

Yeah and man sometimes they really blow up on a surface lure....the initial strike I can't really tell if it is a peacock or largemouth until I get a glimpse of yellow lol

Hey Caught my first two Mayan cichlids for the year so far. I was wondering when they would show up 🎣🤘 the one on top has a big appetite 😆

No I get it, I lip them but I also support underneath so there is no excess strain on the mouth. Peacock bass are very fun to catch, I would even dare to say they fight harder than a largemouth

Yeah that is a nice one, I catch them too in my neighborhood on the east coast. How are you holding it? Lol looks like it's floating in midair or you have your hand in its gill I guess

16 Stile
Does anyone have any hands on experience with this reel? It's a jdm reel but it looks pretty cool. Does not hold much line but that is ok, it has an interesting way to remove the side plate to access the svs brakes

Brake case assembly
Hey, So that metal/brass collar that is in the brake case assembly that fits into the spool when you put the side plate back on for shimano reels....should I be adding a small drop of oil to that or a bit of grease? I just realized when I was maintaining a couple reels I left that collar alone/dry. Thanks

Bass one xt rods
I decided to pick one of these up, very low price. Considering it is by shimano and it looks pretty impressive considering the low price point. Has anyone ever used these before? It is ordered out of Japan so it will take a little while to get here

Tranx 150
Hey, I know this reel is advertised and built for saltwater use, but I'm sure for freshwater it would be just as nice. For anyone who has one, is the reel bulky? Is it fairly palmable? How would it compare size wise to the curado 150 mgl or chronarch mgl for example? Thanks

Lipless crankbait hook question
Hey So a couple years ago I replaced my treble hooks on my crankbaits with single hooks. Is it ok to do the same with lipless crankbaits? I'm not sure if it will be a disadvantage for that particular kind of lure if I remove the treble hooks. Thanks

Nice heavy rod options
Idk...anything. spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, swimbaits etc. Just want to say that I own a heavy rod, not really concerned about technique specific heavy rod or anything

Nice heavy rod options
ok everyone I have 2 spinning rods and 6 casting rods in my arsenal but I do not own any heavy power rods!!! The truth is my typical fishing locations have virtually no heavy vegetation, just rocks usually. Despite this I feel that it is probably a good idea to have at least one heavy power rod in the collection just in case. Should I go for a heavy power rod or just skip to an extra heavy? I'm not really wanting to exceed $200 for the rod. Any hands on experience with some nice options/opinions would be appreciated

Reel handle question
Lol yes I have done 3 already 😆, the handles are not cheap that's for sure but still worth the upgrade
