Curado 70 handle
Good morning, I was just wondering if the Tranx 200 or 300 handle will fit the Curado 70? I love the reel but never was a fan of the small handle they have on it. If anyone has any info on compatible handles please share. Thanks

Scorpion BFS
And just so I know, which gears would I need to replace to convert to 8.2 ratio? The main gear and..? Pinion gear? you think I should get the gear set from the slx or curado, do you think one is higher quality over the other or are they similar quality? Thanks

Scorpion BFS
Hey, So a couple years ago I purchased the scorpion BFS out of Japan. The reel is pretty nice and the drag clicker is a nice touch. What is happening now is I am basically regretting that I purchased it in 6.3 ratio instead of 8.2 lol. Do you guys know of anywhere I can get gear replacements for 8.2 ratio or should I just live with it/sell it for the XG model? I was looking at prices these days and some people are trying to sell this reel for insane prices...not sure why. Any input would be great thanks

Help little pin and spring in drag star assembly
Thanks I managed to get it back together. What I was doing wrong is was not putting the longer part of the pin inside of the Spring. I had the longer part of the pin facing out towards the teeth lol. All back to normal thanks for responding. The curado 150 is a pretty nice reel so far, I've only had it for 3 days

Help little pin and spring in drag star assembly
Hey, So like a dummy, I was opening up my new Curado 150 MGL reel to see if it was adequate inside. I was fooling around with the drag star too much trying to reinstall it and this tiny pin and spring fell out. I have no idea how to reinstall it. If anyone knows how please let me know, I'm a sitting duck until I get it figured out. Thanks

Hey, Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. Caught a nice largemouth on a swimbait, and the largest tilapia I have ever caught so far. This thing really put up a fight, I think it's easily 3 or 4 pounds. Be well and enjoy ?

Latest Catch Pics Thread
Hey, So I decided to cast out after work again because I noticed a lot of activity along the shoreline. I assumed it was a group of bass that moved in and were having a feeding frenzy lol. I had some good luck and landed a nice largemouth and something I have never caught before. Turns out it's called a clown knifefish, it put up a decent fight, thought it was a bass. Hopefully that's a good sign for my future fishing luck ???

Hey Decided to cast out after work and landed my first Mayan cichlid of 2023 lol. Was a decent sized one too. The Mayan cichlids seem pretty scarce right now, but I'm sure by March they will be back in my area

Star Rods
Yes exactly, I noticed even the medium light power rod looked like it has decent backbone. Most lures I fish are 1/4 or 3/8

Star Rods
Thanks yes I figured long as I'm not ripping fish out of heavy weeds it shouldn't be an issue. Thanks again

Star Rods
Thanks for responding. I think the medium light action rod would be fun to fish for bass. Most of the bass I catch are in fairly open water, if there is any cover at all its pretty minimum. Do you think I would have any problem with using a medium light action rod?

Star Rods
Hey, So I'm looking at these rods, they seem pretty nice, they use fuji components too. I'm looking at the medium light 7' 6" spinning rod "seagis" model. Does anyone have any experience with this brand? Thanks

Ha lol, well even though I'm in Florida I still wear them even if it's 50° out so....we don't get cool fronts too often so I make the most of it when we do

Thanks I appreciate that. If I put in more effort I would get more, I'm probably not going to get heavy into my fishing until March. That was just casting out in the backyard this morning to see if I could produce anything lol

Hey, So it's no giant but a decent fish, my first largemouth of 2023. Feels good again to feel the fight of a bass ?? hopefully there's more where that came from

Peacock bass question
Lol could have fooled me...I went running this morning and it's about 84° out and pretty humid ? it is very cloudy and windy today too. But yes, I am North of Lake Ida so I'm probably not going to see much peacock action until a couple more months
-
Upgraded bearings
The sets I bought are "tournament champion series"...."ABEC-7 tolerances, Grade 5 Si3N4 ceramic balls, and aircraft grade 440C stainless steel construction". That's the description it has for them

Peacock bass question
It's a shame because peacock bass are fun to fight with lol. So by April or May they should be back in action right?
