  1. Like when they use terms like regular fast lol. Is that basically a fast action as we know it? or softer?
  2. Hey, When it comes to rod power, do you think jdm made rods come in a bit underpowered for what they are rated for or pretty spot on? I heard people say a japanese heavy will probably be more like a medium heavy and a mh more like a medium etc. What are your thoughts?
  3. Hey Do you guys think the Mh fast action glass poison adrena rod can still perform tasks like Texas rig worm fishing sufficiently or worm fishing in general? I'm curious thanks
  4. I use between 1/4 and 5/8 max probably
  5. Something more general purpose, like I think it's called touring. Whichever is their more general purpose model
  6. Ok guys, I'm having a hard time deciding between the expride or megabass Levante for my general purpose MH rod needs. I hear good and bad about the levante, but almost nothing bad about the expride lol. People that own and have used both please give me your advice. Thanks
  7. Yeah think i ran across this one, little more than I'm willing to pay lol I can't justify blowing that kind of money for a rod in my life right now....no doubt it's top tier quality
  8. Hey, I was thinking of treating myself this holiday and buying a new rod. I am staying away from technique specific rods for the most part. I was looking into the megabass levante line of rods. These are made with high quality components from what I read, is megabass considered JDM? For all you guys who own a levante series rod what are your opinions of it? Do you think at that price point I should look into other manufacturers? Thanks
  9. Hey, Pretty uneventful day, only landed a baby largemouth, got plenty of sun though ☀️ hope you all had a nice day
  10. The waters i fish are pretty dark so anything dark like blue, black, purple works well. White also does pretty well. lots of gold and silver for flash. Colors like red, yellow, orange, chartreuse don't really do well in the areas I fish. I have some Panther Martin's that have special UV paint that lights up well in low light conditions
  11. Panther Martin and rooster tails...also a few by "Joe's flies". They are really well made and bass like them well enough, they are on the lighter side though, most of them are around 1/4
  12. I'm a little embarrassed to say it, but I probably have 80 in line spinners in different varieties lol...of which I only go to maybe 5 or 6 different ones. I'm an addict I have a problem 😬
  13. Oh yeah lol 70 percent or more of my lures are some kind of spinner. I love the things. Very simple but deadly, they don't often fail to catch fish
  14. Hey, Went out before work again and brought in a baby peacock and a nice crappie. TGIF
  15. Thanks for your input appreciate it
  16. Lol now I'm struggling between the 7' 2" or something like a 6' 8 or 6' 10" rod. They say you are more accurate casting with a shorter rod, but between 6' 10 and 7' 2" I can't imagine how much the accuracy increase would be...probably negligible
  17. Thanks for the info. Most of my lures are in the 1/4 to 5/8 max probably. I have not touched anything at 1 ounce or greater. So in that sense do you agree a medium power is ok?
  18. Hey, Decided to cast out a few minutes before work and ended up landing a pretty impressive peacock bass, just wanted to share. Have a nice day everyone
  19. Hey, I am thinking about picking up a 7' 2" curado casting rod but I'm stuck between medium and medium heavy power. Most things i throw are plastic worms, spinnerbaits/in-line spinners, crankbaits, chatterbaits, and lighter swimbaits. Shouldn't a medium power rod handle these ok? I'm not sure if shimano goes a little light on their ratings or they turn out more stout than their ratings. Any advice or user experience would be appreciated. Thanks
  20. A thought just occurred to me. The scorpion bfs is of course meant to be light as possible so it can cast very light lures. By putting on the larger handle that weighs more do you think that compromises its ability to cast lighter lures?
  21. Hey Just wanted to show you the upgraded handles I installed on the curado 70 and scorpion bfs 😎. The scorpion bfs has the curado 200 handle, and the curado 70 has the tranx 200 handle. I think they turned out awesome like this
  22. Hey Caught yet another nice sized peacock this afternoon on a 3" white paddle tail swimbait. This one had more vibrant color
  23. And they are just as aggressive as humans to boot!! Lol
  24. Lol yes they do seem to have more human characteristics in the face 😆
  25. Good morning happy Sunday 😎 Caught yet again another nice peacock bass this morning, almost landed a baby one but it jumped off. Have a nice day everyone
