  1. the fluro you use on spinning how many lbs?
  2. My main concert here is sensibility i need to feel those bites specially on a texas rig, since i mostly use spinning gear im between 15lb Braid or 7lb fluro Not sure yet what is the best options for me
  3. And what exactly do you use them? fluro? And what do you guys think of braid for Texas Rig is a good option?
  4. So im from Florida and and met a lot of fisherman at lakes and ponds that i go that don't use leader at all and catch fish one after another, which makes me believe that a use of the leader is the typical case that we are overthinking too much and giving too much credit to the fish (specially vision) how can they never cared with heavy wire 4/0 and 5/0 hooks and the will care about a line? 2 of them said they fished in clearwater and got fish without any issue at all and one was a very experienced old fisherman that said the leader necessity is only for some saltwater techniques bass just don't care. So what exactly is true about that, i never liked a leader and never changed to braid because a hated the knots and the feeling on the guide, if that is the case maybe i should change to straight braid for once since i'm having sensitivity issues with Yo Zuri hybrid (can't feel any bite and i'm gut hooking some fish) Anybody here that don't use leaders on braid and have success too? and what color is the best? I know that is a common question around , but i really want to know more opinions about that specially the idea that sometimes we give the fish too much credit.
  5. One question regarding Sunline Sniper FC not sure if any of you know this information , a 7lb line really breaks at 7lbs?
  6. I’m on a quest to find the perfect line for me, tried fluro (hell for spinning, and most of my equipment are spinning) braid (avoided this one cause I hate leader knot) I believe the perfect line still do not exist, but yo zuri hybrid is close to that since looks like works for every application, how about this line for texas rig (worms, creeatures, etc) what do you guys think?
  7. Well i should have listen to you guys, put 14 lbs Sunline FC on 2 of my spinning And and first cast looks like the devil showed in front of me with his long tangled hair to show me how hell works back to Yo Zuri Hybrid
  8. Well trouble for me them, lets see how it goes with this Sniper 14lbs
  9. Ok my plan is to use as main line on my spinning reel, since i dont like leader knots too much how a bout Sniper FC as main like on a Spinning, just got 14lbs to put on one of my reels, checked on Sunline site and they recommended 7lbs for spinning , do you believe i can have issues with 14 lbs?
  10. I see that YUM is having issues too, some specific colors of Dingers and impossible to find on BPS and other stores
  11. Quick questions about Sniper FC how is the knot for this line i heard that feels like mono and some knots can be used with success with this line, i know some fluro have issues with knot but how about Sunline Sniper FC ?
  12. Thank you everyone i see you guys talking about the superfluke only, i have the superfluke too and i know that is heavier and better to cast, what im talking is the regular Fluke (smaller 4 inches) i have some of that and dont know exactly how to rig, since is too light (lighter than superfluke) and if using a bullet weight may compromise the action
  13. I know its crazy but so far never had any luck with flukes, today i tried with the regular fluke (not the super) and I have a question, its a good thing to use fluke with a bullet weight? Just asking cause was too lazy to make another rig i was using a worm and decided to attach fluke on the hook with the bullet weight, or the best way to use is weightless? Problem is with the regular fluke its too light hard to cast far.
  14. Really dont know how this hook remover work this is just a tool to reach the hook and pull? but if you pull you will damage the fish
  15. Thank you everyone yes i remove all barbs from my hooks hate to damage the fish too much never leave the barbs but sometimes even without the barb is hard to remove a hook from a gut hooked fish, and i use Yum Dingers most of the time with texas Rig
  16. Im thinking if i should use a 4/0 wide gap instead a 3/0 wide gap that i use now, a bigger hook maybe can help with that
  17. By recommendation i use yo Zuri Hybrid on all my spinning, there are better mono lines for sensitivity? never tried fluro
  18. Thank you, i have issues with windy days too have no feeling at all when it happens, do you think using braid can improve something regarding that feeling?
  19. Hi guys, I'm having a hard time to feel the bite and most of my catches on texas rig is gut hooked, there is a way i can avoid that? to feel the bite before this happens? Have the same issue with all my rods, all of them MH different brands like BPS (Bionic Blade) , Daiwa Fuego etc and i'm using Yo Zuri Hybrid (line) Not sure if braid can help me with that " feeling" always avoided braid because never liked the leader knot I'm not exactly sure how can i improve the " feeling" to avoid bass swallowing the hook
  20. Yes i have mostly for my photography stuff @Ravox
  21. I always make sure my hooks are barbless i remove on all of my hooks to raise the chances of a fish survive and to make it easier to remove the hooks out, i also feel bad, have a strong love and respect for nature and sometimes i think to myself if is is right that i continue to practice fishing since there is always a risk to harm or kill a fish or any other by catch. its something that really make me feel bad to harm a fish to the point that a stop fishing for several days until i go back, and i am strictly catch and release.
  22. This week saw something that got my attention while fishing for Bass on one of the canals near my house, never understood the relation between the 2 species, until i saw how territorial the peacocks are. Got 2 Bass few minutes after that peacocks suddenly started to show up next to the bank, saw some bass close by, the pecocks started to chasing the bass like crazy to make sure they leave the area, it was funny to see the bass all afraid and the peacocks claiming their territory and weird to see big bass running from small peacocks. Never knew about that dominance peacocks had on bass.... and of course the bass bite totally stopped and I was frustrated that all I had was worms LOL, later I understood why the peacocks wanted that area besides the cover it was a shad paradise for them
  23. How you rig the dead dinger? possible with Texas Rig?
