  1. Fish farts! Like Captain Phil on Deadliest Catch use to look for the crab farts.....
  2. I don't know and I certainly don't want my wife to know, but it's a whole lot!
  3. I've got one. It seems like a really good bait but, I'm pretty sure I've thrown more and caught more on a Storm Thunderstick Jointed wake bait. Got some good ones on the Thunderstick last spring.
  4. Carbonlite 2.0, especially when on sale. Also the Lew's KVD rods.
  5. I picked up a Table Rock and Stone Cold Stunna myself Saturday at BPS. The boss lady was with me and I was able to convince her that she needed them!
  6. I got one skipping a few weeks ago that I had to cut out. One of the worst ones though was on a reel with brand new spool of braid. Picked it up off the deck to cast, of course the lure was hung up on the rod tip. Pushed the button on the reel and was giving the rod the jiggle to get lure unhung. No luck. Sat rod down, grabbed lure(reel spool is disengaged, remember, nope), got lure unhung and watched brand new spool of braid turn into an afro!
  7. My PB came on an Original Rapala Floating Minnow. Early 80's, Lake DeGray.
  8. I use the Plano Edge as well. Works great except I have the same issue with Jackhammers floating around in it as well.
  9. My first thought would have been the Floating Rapala Minnow, then when I was around 14 one of my dad's buddies took me out night fishing and I learned how to fish plastic worms. Game changer for me!
  10. Great list! I remember when Rapala Shad Raps first hit the scene back in the early/mid 80's. Bought every one I could get my hands on. Was more of a topwater and soft plastics guy but man those Shad Raps sure caught em good!
  11. Finally traded all my BPS gift cards for a new Tatula reel, so that meant I've gotta have a new rod. Had my eye on this Megabass Levante at a local tackle store, so....
  12. Stopped at my local BPS on the way home from work last night. I knew the Zoom aisle was a little thin, but shocked when I hit the terminal tackle aisle. Very few hooks on the pegs. Hardly any rods. They do have some reels in the cabinet behind the counter that are not on display. They had two Daiwa reels, a Tatula Elite and a CT, out for customers to play with. I asked if they had the Elite in anything but 8.1:1 and they had SV's and and SV TW's in the cabinet, as well as another Elite or two. Ended up getting a 6.3 SV TW.
  13. I don't recall ever having this happen bass fishing, but several times when fly fishing for trout I've had a big brown trout try to eat the stocker size rainbow I had hooked. That creates a little excitement as well!
  14. Most of my really great deals have come on fly rods and fly fishing gear. I got a 4 wt. Sage Z-Axis at half off when the Sage One's came out and later got an 8 wt. One and 5 wt. One at half off. Then one day looking around at fly rods at Cabela's, they had a 7 wt. Sage Bolt for half off. $650 rod for $325, I'll take it. Got to the register and it rang up for $149! Haven't been that lucky with conventional fishing gear.
  15. Stand. I do lean on the butt seat from time to time when on the trolling motor. If my wife isn't with me I leave the back deck completely open. My regular fishing partner will put his butt seat on the back deck when he's with me.
  16. It was real hard to drop $25 on one bait, but I took the plunge and now have 110's in each size except the +1JR(Gift cards and BPS points help). I have caught a boat load of bass this spring on a 110+1 in Elegy Bone. Biggest went 5.75. I've also caught a few walleye on that same bait, the biggest around 4#. I try real hard to not bounce them of off rocks or stick em in tree limbs overhanging the water. Both have happened but haven't broke one or got one I couldn't get out of the tree, yet. I did break a hook off the front treble. It is now sporting a red front treble and the fish still eat it. I haven't been on the water in a couple of weeks, but right now that is my confidence bait, so, for me it's been worth it. I'm sure the bite has changed in the last couple of weeks and something else will be my confidence bait during spawn-post spawn, but I throw jerkbaits year round, so.....
  17. Yay! Got it to work!
  18. Praying for Chris and the Houston family. Always been a big fan of Jimmy.
  19. I have a C-Tug for my Jackson Mayfly. Kinda pricey but one of the best accessories I've bought for my kayak.
  20. Love my Vexus AVX1880 and my fishing partner would rather go in my boat than his Ranger Z175.
  21. Like many have said, must have for rod lockers.
  22. Nice report!
  23. Monkey got me last week. Had 20% discount code plus free shipping!
  24. Scored a couple of OG's at BPS yesterday.
  25. I fly fished exclusively for many years, Warm water species, cold water species, and even in the salt. Waded, drift boat, kayak, flats boat, love it. Since we got the new bass boat I have yet to fly fish out of it. It will happen though.
