  1. We love most any kind of egg. Had a couple this morning , over easy, Just now my wife put some in the potato salad she was making, and did up some deviled eggs as well.
  2. Tight spaces ( caves) where I might get stuck, or the ceiling lets go. Burning to death ( I must have 15 smoke alarms and half a dozen fire extinguishers in the house.) Heights, I have vertigo. And the last one is more of a concern, running out of money. My wife and I both had to leave the work force early due to disabilities. We're not poor, but not what I would call " well off". With everything costing so much , I worry for our future.
  3. I used to swim a culprit worm on top a lot. The curly tale left a perfect wake. I got to say though, I haven't done it in years. Thanks for the reminder. I'll have to try it again.
  4. I keep mine in the original packages. Probably doesn't matter, but why take the chance.
  5. He'll be in our thoughts and prayers. RIP
  6. And so it begins? good job.
  7. Mostly garter, milk ,water, or corn snakes here in Southern Maine. I've read that Maine and Alaska are the only two states that don't have venomous snakes. Could never understand how the venomous snakes knew not to cross the border, but that's what I've read.
  8. We tow our 16 ft lund with a Ford Edge with factory tow package. Tow package is rated for 3500LB. Tows great, no ,issues. Jim
  9. We have a boarding ladder on the back of our Lund. I wonder how many people might have been saved if they had an easier way to get back in the boat.
  10. The lakes we fish are around 35-40 miles from us and our 16' Lund \ 50HP Merc sips the gas. We'll pay more to keep fishing. Might try for a few trout to bring home and eat though.
  11. Count me in. Been fly fishing off and on for around 55+ years.
  12. 65+ years for me.
  13. Truth be told, if I could afford it, I'd be tempted. However, I still have a nagging problem with any electronics , that is I don't totally trust it. I fish in pretty clear water, seeing bottom at 10-20 foot depth, and I know for a fact there are times my Echomap shows fish under the boat. I can look down and there just isn't any fish there. So forward looking sonar is cool, but , not sure I'd ever really trust it.
  14. party lines, when GE6 changed to 436 on our phone number. B&W TV. riding my bike down to the local hardware store and giving the guy 25 cents for a box of .22 shells. We always played war, or cowboys and indians. At least to me, everything seemed cleaner, brighter, simpler back then.
  15. Ryobi for me. Have had it several years now. Use it on the boat, utility trailer, tractor, you name it. Never let me down.
  16. Fishing before sunrise sounds like TOP WATER to me
  17. Had one this morning. All good. The prep was worse than the procedure.
  18. My grandmother used to say" Age is just a matter of the mind. If you don't mind ,it doesn't matter."
  19. Not to stir the pot, but, it seems we all take care to learn how to get the hooks out of bass so as not to unduly harm them, we learn the best way to hold them, release them, basically to conserve the resource for our selves and others. Yet when it comes to stuffing a live well full of fish, we fall short. With so many ways to instantly record our catches, why keep bass any longer than necessary? We hear so many stories about fish kills from time spent in live wells, etc. Why take the chance?
  20. Another vote for Garmin.
  21. I have to say I believe in luck. My wife is the luckiest fisherperson I know. She has permanent, chronic, tendinitis in both hands, wrists, and arms. As such, she has very little strength , and or control when she fishes. She can only use a spincast setup with weightless baits. ( a swim Senko is all she uses). Her casts are kind of two handed lobs and often don't go where she intended,. She can only fish for fifteen minutes or so before she has to rest her hands. When she catches a fish I have to reel it in for her. With all of this she will often out fish me. She has caught a 7lb.,5lb., and several 4+ LM and many others. By the way, spincast reels, at least Zebco Omegas, are perfectly capable of bringing in big fish and hold up better than we thought they would.
  22. What ever boat you get, if it doesn't come stock with a boarding ladder, have them add one. If you ever fell overboard, a PFD will keep you afloat, a boarding ladder makes it easy to get back in the boat.
  23. Boarding ladder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. Thanks so much for the offer, Where do you head out from?
  25. I can smell the salt air just looking at those pictures?
