They’re the best 87 cents I’ve ever spent. First bass my boy ever caught was on one with a black grub with chartreuse lines on it. Was pushing 5lbs, on a light powered spinning rod. Kiddo was grinning ear to ear. I’ve caught all kinds of species including some nice large mouth. Good times. I have all these cool new lures and want to fish with all of them, so they’ve been pushed aside.

Yep, Blaukat and Zaldain both suggest spinning, and I know the Japanese prefer it. Thank you for those suggestions, I’ll check those St. Croix’s out. Big fan of their rods.

I’ve now read or seen videos suggesting using spinning gear and 6 or 8 lb test line for jerkbaits. Anyone use a setup like this? I’m looking for a shorter rod that’s moderate-fast action. Not having luck.

Any of you have advice for a super cushion to put on top of my kayak seat? Mine is so hard my butt goes numb after an hour of fishing.

I kind of agree with you. Figured they would have something on FB by now. Was maybe thinking since the classic was in the summer they were going to combine tax day, pres day, and the usual classic sale into one spring sale. But I guess we will have to wait to see. Has anyone ever seen them put that type of message on their site and then not have a sale?

My Sammy got embedded into my leg and led to an emergency room trip to remove it. Tried to rip it out of some cover and wham, stuck in my shin. 1 fisherman caught, 0 fish caught. Didn’t use it enough to have an opinion. I throw the SK, and the 6th Sense Catwalk.

Had one day last year where all they wanted was a black w/ red flake trick worm on a shaky head style jig. That was a fun day. Black fluke? I’m sure it would work. Never thrown one though.

Anyone use the plopper 60 with any success? Was kind of thinking the bite-size bait might be fun, especially for river smallies.

DSGs in my area have zero fishing items. He have Cabelas, BP, Scheels and Academy.
