  1. Nope. You missed the sarcastic undertones of my post. The defining factor is not the gas, not the passengers, but the weight. The weight of the right foot causing acceleration to happen. Alone my car has terrible gas mileage as the less passengers the more my foot weighs.
  2. Hmm, mine is more dependent on the weight in the car. When either or both of my sub-100 kids are in the car, my car will get 16-18mpg. When my light wife drives she gets over 20. The strange thing is when I drive alone it is much closer to 11. Seems that adding weight while I drive improves it, but when the lightest person drives it is the best.
  3. I never have, but perhaps if you were fishing one on a slow death walleye hook it would be a good idea....but I don't see any benefit in that.
  4. My grill maybe takes 5 minutes more when it is super cold. The pizza oven will even still hit 900F, although that takes 30 instead of 20 then.
  5. It is rather teeny, but big enough for 1.5 racks of ribs without a rack or enough food for a family of 4. It uses NO charcoal, crazy how efficient it is. A bit more up front, but well worth it. It has completely replaced my desire to ever use the gas grill.
  6. Doh. I meant Kamado Joe Jr, but the only difference is low heat control.
  7. We bet chores when on fishing trips. Loser cleans dishes, fish, whatever. Way more glorious than money.
  8. I grill 1-2x per week year round. I have a lynx gas grill, but haven't used it in more than 2 years. Charcoal heats up faster and is more consistent. 90% of my cooks is on a smoky Joe Jr. It can be to 225f in 15 min and hold it for 12 hours or be at 700f in 20-25. I use a half of a paper towel soaked in some really cheap olive oil as a starter. Of course the other reason is taste. Something about natural lump that makes everything taste way better.
  9. Only the most ridiculous. Either super small or over 6lbs.
  10. Same problem and I use her ute to tow the boat so I drive an Audi S6
  11. I could probably live with only a frog and a spinnerbait. If you aren't catching them with a spinnerbait you aren't casting close enough to cover. They are so weedless you can fish them right through super nasty stuff. Make sure to not just crank it back either. Slow roll on bottom, wake it back fast, yo yo it, lift and drop, rip it, helicopter it into a great spot and of course rapid rod pulls to cause the skirt to flair and bait to stop/start. Everyday they like something else, but rarely is it a bite in mid retrieve it you are just cranking.
  12. Only time I care is when I have a leader.
  13. About $250 so far this year...considering I needed nothing I will blame the site.
  14. Almost all of mine are caught on jigs or tubes. I usually have a wacky on too, but 90% of the people I see tossing under docks now throw wacky's so I think that ship has sailed a bit.
  15. I have a 6'6" SC Avid MHF that I use for skipping wacky rigs to docks and it easily has enough power to do what you want. Since you truly want 3/4 I would do a MH. I haven't held a M that I feel would be enough.
  16. I bought both of mine nice spinning setups, when they have a bait that is for casting they cast one of mine. That way they have a rod to take wherever they want and we can still fish any bait I want.
  17. A battery disconnect, this is a dual. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NI58R4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Or you could buy a circuit breaker for it...which isn't a bad idea anyways. https://www.amazon.com/Circuit-Breaker-Waterproof-Trolling-Resettable/dp/B089M6Y92H/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?crid=QSHHSY8DS1Z0&keywords=12v+breaker&qid=1660005428&sprefix=12v+br%2Caps%2C298&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExV004TVJBSEZIRkZLJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMDY3NzI1RTNaT1A1NFpXRzFDJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA0MDU5NDAyVFk4OUJYNDdBSjFUJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ== If you just want a plug, I'd do the Anderson Power Poles dual plug.
  18. If it were me, I would buy 6'8" St Croix Mojo Bass MXF with a Diawa Fuego LT And for the casting, I'd buy used. That or put it all in a rod and buy a cheap Black Max reel to upgrade later. (7-7'6" MH)
  19. Just did my jack plate pump which is a trim pump and you have to raise it, fill, raise it, fill, raise it, fill until you get to the top and then it worked.
  20. I use a 904 GLX that was built out to just under 8' for normal frogs. Looking to build something lighter for Jr frogs.
  21. Exactly why I don't have the bad habit of ice fishing. Can't stand to wait. Doesn't mean I won't cast through the same water too many times.
  22. I'd personally contemplate a blank and building it out longer. It really helps cast the lightweight stuff further. As for what blank, I am going to start shopping for the same about now as well.
  23. I'm in the same boat. My 7'10" 904 works for anything bigger than that, but casting accuracy and distance goes way down with a pad crasher jr. Can't say I like the SC LE MHF much better. I will add that extra length on a frog rod is huge. Easier to pick up line on the hookset, casts further, and is better for "lobbing" the baits. Frogs are the one technique I almost always overhead cast. Not sure what your frog rod budget is, but getting something longer is a help IMO.
  24. Post pics. The arbitrary condition you describe could all be superficial. What if the motor runs, the trolling motor is fine, and the livewells just need new pumps. By chewed up foam, I figure you meant the seats. If that is it, it may not be that bad. If it requires what sparty did you will have WAY more into it than I have in my boat which is significantly newer and full of electronic goodies.
