VENTING!!
I've got 4 waverunners and we frequent Lake Anna all summer with them. I'm very aware of fishermen and even look around like a fishermen when I'm there. There are many deep coves there to get away from heavy boat traffic, even on mid day weekends. However, your best bet is to fish early mornings and evenings in the middle of the week. We launch our runners from the state park around 9 or so and we're always the first ones there and in the mid-week it doesn't pick up till well after 10, in the mid summer all the fish are pushed into heavy cover and shade by then anyway which is fishable in the back of some coves.

Any luck night fishing lately?
Rob and I went out Monday night on the new moon from 10:00 to 12:15 or so, We threw prop baits for the frist hour or so to no prevail, Rob alternated a white buzz bait and a torpedo and I threw a black buzzbait and texas rigged tube with rattle. Frustrated we went back to the truck to rig up some carolina rigs and then Rob got one on that, I think it was a c-rigged lizard, I didn't have any hits on the c-rigged tube, or texas rigged tube (black and blue). Finnally nearing the 11:57-midnight bite I started tossing the black buzzbait again and landed one around 11:50. That's it, it was slow, Rob had a few slaps at the torpedo, nothing serious though. The bite last night was midnight-3 something, I didn't fish it. Tonight it's a little after midnight until 3 or so again, I believe. I'll be back out doing the same thing on the FULL moon in the middle of the month. It was dark, I tore them up (7 in 45 minutes) in a bright full moon a few weeks ago in April.

Disappointed in the NOVA Members
let me get this straight... we're still talking about people not publicly sharing low-key fishing spots on a public internet forum, to people who will most likely post a whole new topic about each individual spot, to the detail of whether they were standing on crab grass or moss, and casting at the sun or 2 degress east of it with rattle traps or some other hot lure of the week, with google earth screen shots saying how they did and posting pictures? compromising it for future use to those who already fish it... ;D what's the big deal here's a tip fish public golf course water hazards, they're loaded with big confidence fish, get permission, I've found many to be permitting, just be clean, some say only evenings on earlier holes, but it's a start. Good luck. 8-) i know for a fact many of you posting in here have been turned onto good water, let's not get spoiled here, we're all always in search of new good water...

Disappointed in the NOVA Members
Are you seriously whining about this? How can you not understand certain people not wanting to expose a particular area they do well at? seriously? Not only will it most certainly become over populated but it could very well jeapordize either the persons status of being able to fish there or it WILL jeapordize the spot itself, I for one have seen mutiple spots PLUMMET in productivity because too many people discovered them, it's inevitable, especially when more and more people fish it EVERYDAY instead of periodically, just like I stated in my PM. You need to get over it man. That's not true to say people don't want to help people, I've been helping two guys I met through here just recently, by going fishing with them and bringing them tackle. I discovered this place by meeting flippin4it and drums out fishing one day and they've been very helpful fishing partners in lending me certain equpiment and sharing techniques, I now consider them very good friends as well as my best fishing partners, even though i don't see drums as much anymore I know he's a good dude. Don't just say stuff like that because you can't figure out where some people did well fishing. Maybe they just don't want everyone fishing there and posting about it. Just my honest opinion.

CARROT STIX HAVE ARRIVED!!!
I managed a trade with Rob^ for his 6'9" medium parabolic, and I have to say I love this rod, matched with my MG it's the lightest combo I've ever felt or seen and it works great for a lot more than I originally thought it would, not only is it great for crankin' and I mean great, I love it for spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, wacky rig and flukes. It turned out to be much more versatile than I thought it'd be.

got 'em!
Well Rob and I have been hunting this fish for a few trips, one day I was even out on the boat with my dad and Rob was on the bank and pointed it out to us (we felt like we were cheating, oh well, not like I caught it that day ) anyway for the past few trips neither of us have been able to get it to go after anything or move anything off the bed. The only thing I got it to look at was a white worm on a shaky head. We threw everything the past few trips from senkos, lizards, tubes to spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, devil's horses and this time, yesterday right after Rob left I said "I'm gonna go give it another shot" and sure enough I got her/him on a rainbow trout bass assasin. I was fishin' it through the stirke zone just like you would a fluke normally and it went after it, it wasn't even on the bed, just in the area. I was a little disappointed that it didn't turn out to be as big as I thought but that didn't take away from being totally stoked that I finally caught it, it was rewarding. We put in a lot of hours on that one fish ;D anyway I thought it was the male because it really doesn't have a stomach that I'd expect of a female in which case that'd be a big male and I don't feel that they've laid they're eggs just yet, but I could be wrong. Anyway it weighed 3 and a half pounds, could of sworn it would have gone for 4.5-5 when we saw it in the water, not so. That's my story.

Lake Lunga (Quantico Marine Corp)
it's quantico man, it's unpredictable... do you know how to resize pictures ron? it's tough to get an idea of the size since you have to scroll around to see the whole thing... the only frame of reference is your hand, seems decent, those things are fun.

Lake Lunga (Quantico Marine Corp)
well in order to get to Dalton you have to drive all the way around the base to get there instead of the back way that is now gated off... and then you have to walk down a long dirt road to get there, at least that was the last status i knew of it. Never heard of Buffalo.
