Dang that’s not many twists. What size line are you connecting?

Man, all winter has been tough me. Fishing slow is the pits , but that’s what I do when things get tough. Either that or fish for walleye!

I was night fishing catfish when my lantern ran out of gas , so I was sitting in the dark by myself . Suddenly my pole started bending over so I set the hook and started reeling like crazy . What a fight! Finally got it to the shore and was about to claim my prize , when it started hissing at me. Oh dang. Then it charged me. Yikes. I was holding my rod out at arms length to keep whatever this creature happened to be away until it stopped trying to attack me. The clouds cleared for a moment and by moonlight I could see the biggest dadgum soft shell turtle ever caught on rod and reel in human history glaring at me ! Sheesh

That would drive me nuts.

Do smallmouth hang out in deeper water?

I can usually find the largemouth but have heck catching a smallmouth . What are the differences in fishing for each one ?

I’m going to be trying larger senko style baits this year. Last year all I used was the5 inch senko so I wanna see if the 6 inch catches bigger fish

What about black flukes ?

I watched a video on you tube with Gerald Swindle saying a black trick worm is his favorite for a floating worm so I bought all the black trick worms I could find. Is black good all the time or only in dirty water ?
