Mostly dragging with small hops in between. On FFS I let the fish reaction dictate it.

I use Neko rigs 99% of fishing trips. They are extremely versatile. My primary use for them is targeting shallow cover. They are good for ffs and deep brush as well. I have found that the Neko rig performs best in highly pressured areas, similar to a wacky worm, however the Neko rig is not as commonly thrown. The applications for this technique are endless and the variations in lure choice are as well.
  3. Rapala Dt-6 weighs 1/2 oz I believe. Og slim 6s by Rapala are also quite heavy .Both balsa both float.
  4. 1. Don't leave to find fish 2. Never rely fully on other's advice 3. Don't work a bait a specific way 100% of the time, let the fish dictate what you do 4. Analyze everything about your catch 5. Safety trumps everything else on the water
  5. I lost 4 a-rigs last month😭
  6. Upwards of 50 new baits to drop this year
  7. First tournament of 2024 ended pretty good. Weighed 5 fish for a total of 12.30lbs on Sam Rayburn this past Saturday putting us in 8th place and giving us a small check. If we would have fished the BFL event we would've placed 30th.
  8. Didn't get a picture of the first one of the year, but got some of the first tournament.me and my partner weighed a total of 12.30lbs placing us 8th with a little bit of gas money.
  9. I'd go with a few of the new sixth sense whales for those cypress. You definitely want to have a keel weighted texas rigged. Other good options include, sixth sense sweeps, megabass magdraft freestyles, and daingerous swimmers by bass mafia. If you want some very unique and high quality for cheap ones go check out 3:16 fishing. I throw their mission fish in all sizes. If there are lots of gizzards I' also definitely pick up a few spro swimbaits
  10. Wellll you see thats my problem........ On Rayburn if you find fish on Friday and your tourney is on Saturday two things will happen 90% of the time. The first thing is the fish will completely vacate the area. Like you can't find them anywhere. The second thing is most of the time if you find fish you're gonna learn to share whether you like it or not because somebody else found those fish too.
  11. Thanks for reminding me of this totally slipped my mind at the time. I was to concentrated by getting a good picture in between the bouts of rain.
  12. I believe the largemouth on my left was 5lbs and 3 oz. I think the spot on the left was 2lbs 1 oz which for where I am located in the country is a really good one.
  13. big swimbaits, jerkbaits, a-rig
  14. Hope everybody had a good Thanksgiving. Caught these 2 last Wednesday solo in a rainstorm.
  15. It my be expensive and I can't recall the name and couldn't find it on the internet, but someody rent nice basscats out of East Texas.
