  1. last oct, tablerock; broke transducer on 1 fish finder, broke mount on the other, co pilot broke, dropped new maui jims in lake, threw an 6500 reel on a hmg rod into lake, solenoid stuck on heater in truck on the way back to kansas, 95 degrees in truck all the way home with windows down. never did add up how much it cost. 100's. good thing was we caught fish, truck was under warranty, my uncle went to the spot were i lost the poll in 30' of water, draged it out ofthe lake, cleaned up and gave it back to me for xmas this year. WHAT A GREAT TRIP!
  2. anyone fished tablerock yet. going down the 22nd for annual crappie trip. will be up the kings, just wondering how the bass are doing from viola up river.
  3. I write on the bill, usually just the max depth. put an "s" for susspending. i also try to keep them somewhat organized in different boxes. i still get miffed every now and then, but it sure helps.
  4. have a power drive and have added a co-pilot to it. have not had any poblems and is real convinient operation. minkota foot pedels are hard to work for me. i have 2 remotes. when fishing with 2 people , especially in high wind, it allows either one of you control the boat.bad part about the power drive is that its hard to raise and lower.
  5. Try the auto parts store and look at that flexible door trim they put on car doors.
  6. i have a digger. works well in any condition. you can release the fluke angle with just a jerk of the anchor rope. downside is it is a liitle bulky. anchor rope payout is the most important with any anchor. depth x 3
  7. sta-bil is supposed to be better for moisture, bought some, havent used it yet. never had a problem with moisture yet. may get a suprise this year!
  8. Put on the water before you buy if possibble. have motor checked by pro. to me, the motor is the scary part. new motors arent cheep!
  9. When towing my boat the motor always rotates all the way to the right. Is this going to hurt anything? I have a transom saver on, so there is no bounce. I suspect it does it because of the way the cables are run.
  10. whats the advantage of having a hotfoot? never drove a boat with one. ist it just a control issue?
  11. fish table rock at least 3 times a year. alwaysgo late march first week of april. mostly to crappie fish in spring. just got back from there last week. caught a few (small) lm. caught a few crappie 15' dp. i fish up the kings. had good sucess that time of year for lm 5-10 crankbaits just out of the buck brush. for crappie, dont follow the masses, go down stream to cedears off of deep water, its better to catch 20-30 11/2-2 1/2 lb crappie than 50 3/4 lb. i fish better than i type!
  12. I have an 1972 wards walk thru boat i use for small lakes and creeks in my area. i have noticed that surface of the deck is getting small surface cracks. what is the best thing to use for a sealer to stop the spreadig of the cracking?
  13. are they worth the money? is there any advantage to upgrading to tour or energy? are they comprable?
