Anyway, was thinkin of switchin it up for my topwater and crankin stuff. Anyway, what are everyone's opinions on Suffix Elite? Does it frey like trilene does/did? Hows the knot strength? Any issues with this line?

Stand up Jig Mold
The hooks that it uses are tiiiiiiny! I mean small brother! I'd look at another style if I were you.

Minn Kota Maxxum 70lb Opinions?
I like my maxxum 70. No problems whatsoever and I'm into my 3rd season on it. I wish I had bought one with the built in transducer though. The cable is a pain in the a$$ at times but over all zero complaints and a very tough motor. I bought a spare prop thinking that I'll go through one a year but I'm still on the original and it's been beat hard.

Jet Boat
I own a jet myself. I'd suggest getting a 16ft no less than 48inches wide. You lose 30% of the horsepower when converting to a jet pump. That is why you hear the terms 60/40, 40/30, 25/20 etc. I love my jet and will never own a prop boat. For a first time jetter don't spend over 5 or 6 grand til you learn to run a river as well as learn the maintenance. Once you have owned that for a year or two, then upgrade to a nice jet. Go with handle steering instead of a steering wheel. You can turn 10 times faster when you need to and if you hit a rock the motor pops up instead of hard hitting on the power trim. Just remember when you own a Jet, its not a matter of when you hit but how bad. Its only a matter of time before you hit something. That is part of owning a jet. If you have any other questions feel free to pm me and I'll be glad to spill all the pro's and con's of owning a jet. Stuff most dealers won't tell you.

Kistler HeliumII LTA
Looking at doing a "major" upgrade in my jig rods this winter. The question I have is this. For those who have tried the kistler h2lta, I'm wondering if you have noticed a sensativity difference between the telescopic vs the non-telescopic. If so, how much difference have you noticed?

Hair Jigs
Whatever catches fish man. Nah j/k, honestly like I said, throwing a hair jig is something I've never done. I'm assuming lighter than 1/4 oz and a wire guard is what I like. I can go lighter than 1/4oz and actually fully expect to have to. I just kinda wanted to know what everyone else used. I really don't know why I hear some say a hair jig is what you want to use in "ice out" or late fall situations.

Patoka Lake Southern Indiana
I've fished Patoka and caught plenty of fish out there. I just don't get excited about it when people talk about it. I know I'm about to get a ton of stones thrown at me in a bit, but I think it's the most over-hyped lake in the state. I've fished patoka in april and it's pretty good up by painters creek. If you stay on the nothern fingers west of there they are all pretty good. Pointer 100's, Green/chartruse spinnerbaits, and good ol black and blue jigs and you'll do just fine. Bang the crap out of the spinnerbait on all the timber. You may even burn a rattle trap in any color other than red. They see 100 red rattle traps a day down there in april! LOL! And don't be afraid to go shallow.

Hair Jigs
Never spent anytime using these and have Zero idea on who makes a good one. Gotta be weedless if I'm gonna use them. Prefer wire gaurd over brush guard, but..... Thoughts, suggestions, or comments. I'd only be using these on a river that is mostly rocky and decent amt of current in some spots but slack in others.

Tackle Warehouse!
Top 5 things I love about tackle warhouse. 1. Free shipping on orders over 50 bucks 2. Out of state = no sales tax! 3. Great selection! 4. Good prices on things when they go on sale/clearance. (wish I'd would ahve seen the chronarch mg50 sooner in a right hander! Arg!) 5. It's better than my local boat sport and travel show for displaying new gear!

INDIANA WHO'S WHO
If you live in Avon, I would just head on up to waveland, racoon, or glenn flint. Cataract or Cagles mill (same lake just called a diff name by diff people) Cataract threw out some weight late last season. it was way too high until late July I think.

good spinning reels
Sold all my older style shimanos for the Daiwa Excelers. Love that real for the money. Now that shimano has revamped I may try some of those again.

New Spro McStick jerkbait
I looked at these online and thought to myself, self, I wonder what sets this lure apart from the renound lucky craft pointers? Aside from probably price. So I ask this of the Mcstick users, what sets this lure apart from the other jerkbaits? What is it that will make me want to trade in my lucky crafts for the mcstick?

Going to buy new tm, requesting advice
If you fish rivers at all I would get no lest than a 70lb thrust. I have an 18ft aluminum with a 60 horse and wish I would have upgraded to the 80lb thrust. i would go with the minn kota maxxum 80 if I could do it over again. Make sure you get the one with the transducer built into the head of the tm b/c all that wire is a pain in the ars!

RT Chunk
I had high expectations on this jig. To answer your question imo, yes they are very durable. However, my feedback on them is when you are looking for a finess pattern I think you should go more for the paca. The RT has a ton of action in them which to me means that there is a time for that pattern. I think if you popped one on early morning during an active feed, yes you would probably do well. When the day heats up and they go deep is when I would fall back to a more finess leass action jig like the paca. When I say less action I don't discard the paca at all, but I don't think it moves as much water as the RT. Vibration, blah blah blah, you all know the rest.

Floating Lipless Crank?
I've tried them and the suspending one's but never done worth a darn on them. I don't think I've honestly caught a fish on them. I thought they'd be great in early spring but...... Zero!

brookville lake, indiana
Brookville..... ah the dead sea. LOL! Probably one of the tougher lakes in the state from what I hear, until you really know how to fish it. I don't, but I know guys that say they catch fish all the time out there. I think there smokin crack but..... I hear there are good smallmouth out there too. I know they are deep so you might want to get good at dropshotting. Especially in those summer months. Good luck and send me a Pm if you find some fish.

Any good bassin near Clarksville Indiana?
I would get on google earth and check out some of the tributaries that are close to you guys on the ohio. There are a ton of launches that you can find. I would strongly suggest getting a Kentucky and/or Ohio fishing license as well so you are not limited to your water/tributaries. However, if you guys ever decide to make a trip to Patoka or Hardy, you might just consider heading the "same" distance and go to Cumberland in Kentucky. If the smallies or largmouth ain't bighting, you can try for stripers or even hit the river for some of the best trout fishing you'll ever find. Trout fishing the cumberland river is like picking blue gill off the beds down there. Only thing you need is a hook, bober, weight and berkely dough/trout bait. It's that pasty stuff in a little jar. Just food for thought.

lakes near Terre Haute Indiana
The schnook mines are pretty good, it's fishable from land and pretty good fishing too. Great topwater nightime bite. I'm pretty sure I spelled it wrong, but it's public fishing. Iv'e been there a couple times with a buddy, but couldn't tell you how to get there. Just ask some locals, they'll tell ya. JI Case wetland used to be good too. It's really shallow and has an awsome topwater frog bite in the summer. Terre Haute has small water everywhere and can be awsome fishing. You just have to go to people's doors and ask permission. Google earth where you live and you will see there is a ton of small lakes.

A funny experiment with scents....
Blasphemy!!!!! All of you take out your fishing bible's and repent! REPENT! As your penance you must all buy one bottle of every scent out there. Do not disgrace your bait monkey! REPENT! LOL! Sorry fellas, it's been a long week and I need out! Being couped up in the office all week is getting me out in the morning. On a high note, I have bullfrog spf 36 though! :

map for lake waveland in indiana
I don't know of any different spots, but you might try google earth. Honestly, I've never been to a spot on that lake where I wasn't' catching fish. Great lake, or should I say more like a training facility.

Hoosiers - LAKE MONROE???
It's almost gone over the emergency spillway 2 or 3 times this year. We had a tourny scheduled in april but had to move it because you couldn't get into cutright.

Hoosier Anglers
Yep Geist on the weekends is a 28 dollar launch fee, but 12 bucks during the week or if you are off the water by 11am. You will still have to pay the full amount up front and then get a refund. Blah! It sucks, but man is it a fish factory! Morse is the same way with launch fees. Do not go to these lakes on the weekend if you are in a small baot!!! You will sink due to pleasure boaters. Hey deadeye, how are you doing fishing with Greenfield bassmasters this year?
-
Hoosier Anglers
17ft tracker, I assume 50horse merc or thereabouts. Anyway, if your in indy, the river is always good, but you better go with someone that knows it first. Every wed night is a tourny at Broadripple park from 4:30 til dark. Morse is a good mid summer to fall lake and they have been catchin smallies out of it. Geist is well, geist. It is a great lake for bass. Eagle creek is awsome if you know where to go, if not it can be brutal. They only allow 9.9 horse on eagle creek. Patoka is ok and monroe is ok, but gas prices to get there from indy SUCK! Freeman and shafer are good largies and smallies. Glenn flint sucks! Racoon is loaded with 14inchers on a 15 inch lake. Waveland Rocks! You will limit out easily! Loaded with 15 inchers and smaller. Not very many bigguns in there. Kokomo reservior is so so. Lemon is a great spring lake for some hawgs!
