My go to hooks are VMC, if that's not in stock then I'll usually go with some Eagle Claws.

I've only ever used black jig heads, head shape may change but not color. Doesn't usually matter which trailer I'm using.

I went out to the lake with the intention of some fun people watching, but everyone was civilized. Quite the sight. Brightside, no one was fishing. So, I was able to hit the bank for a quick minute.

Last night was the hottest I've ever been in the PNW. Inside my studio apartment, the temp was 93. I ended up going downstairs and turning my car on for some reprieve before heading into the oven around 2am.

I bank fish and 9 times out of 10, I'm by myself, beating the bank and loving the solitude. There's the off chance the wife will wake up with me and go out, and when she does I enjoy those times more than anything.

Whichever strain, straight up beautiful fish!

I've got what I consider a "secret spot" but I'm sure people know about it. They're just never there while I'm out.

Last trip, I spent more time picking the cottonwood out of my line than actual fishing. If the cotton is too much, I just stay home. Or, a different lake.

Back to the 90s when me, dad, and grandpa would fish together on a tiny dock.
