  1. As a Ravens fan, I’m still ticked about what they did to Ray Rice. Quarterbacks are $pecial. KMA.
  2. S I never cruised in town. I spent alot of time in the watershed between Gambrill and Mountaindale. Go Ravens and Orioles - I’m a diehard - God I loved the Colts.
  3. Lefty Kreh? You wouldn’t happen to be from Frederick would you? I grew up there.
  4. Denny Brauer had a show in the late ‘90s. I think it was called Bass University. I could listen to Denny all day and he was my favorite Pro back then.
  5. I was thinking the same thing and that’s what I did. First fish of the year was a pickerel on a jerkbait and then I got 2 more to match. Beats zero.
  6. I have a Kaden 714, Sierra 734, and a Champ XP 734, and I throw spinnerbaits and bladed jigs with all of them. The Dobyns 4 power can do so many things. That said - call Dobyns. 1 (903) 919-8028 You can talk to a human. They’re the experts on their rods and are very helpful.
  7. Amazon has the Tournament Pro LFS L/H 7 speed for $149. I just purchased it a couple minutes ago. I love L/H reels. https://www.amazon.com/Lews-Tournament-Pro-Speed-Spool/dp/B07W94TJHH/ref=asc_df_B07W94TJHH/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=459483328713&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15885633154606298227&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9008525&hvtargid=pla-966140794218&psc=1 Price went up to $157 in the last 5 minutes.
  8. Dobyns gives a 30% military discount. I’m retired Navy so it’s a no-brainer for me. Just give them a call.
  9. Sorry Bud, looks like someome’s opinion took over.
  10. Weightless on 5/0 EWG with a treble hook tied to main eyelet and lightly buried in the tail. I saw it on a Randy Blauket video. I’ve been throwing a super fluke for years and decided to try it. The treble hook caught several fish that I likely would have missed.
  11. My brother had one when he lived on the Potomac near Hagerstown. I loved that boat and expect you’ll be happy with yours. He had a jet motor and we used to fish in 18” of water. Perfect boat for the conditions. I’m envious.
  12. Thanks. I’ll watch it online then. Thanks. I’ll do that.
  13. What channel are you guys watching? I had coverage this morning, but that was it.
  14. Stop gawking at those Nordic women!
  15. I never looked at getting skunked as anything more than “just one of those days”.
  16. Dobyns Fred Roumbanis rods on sale $139 at Dobyns. I wanted a frog rod, but it’s the only one not in stock.
  17. If he’s used spinning gear for his whole life, and is used to reeling with his left hand, I’d suggest a left handed baitcaster. Lot of good reels in your price range.
  18. The Sermon on the Mount - Emmett Foxx
  19. ALF gives a one time good deal of an extra 10% off if you sign up for their e-mail. You might want to check it out.
  20. When I find out that FEDEX is delivering a package I say a prayer and cross my fingers.
  21. If I could only use one rod it would be the XP734C. I throw chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, weightless flukes, T-rigs, jigs……… If you dig a little, you’ll find a “general” consensus that whether it’s the Fury, Sierra, or Champ XP series, the 734 is the most popular “all-around.” I have 8 Dobyns rods and my next rods will be 2 more Dobyns Champ XP 734s.
  22. My brother used to buy black with chartreuse tails by the hundred. I’ve caught hundreds of smallies on the Potomac with them. Fishing doesn’t have to be complicated.
  23. Cranked spinning reels with my left hand for 30 years and then bought a right handed baitcaster. I couldn’t get used to it and bought a left handed baitcaster. Sold the right handed baitcaster and never looked back. That was 20 years ago and now I have 2 spinning setups and a dozen baitcasters. Holding the rod in my left hand will never work for me.
  24. Try salmon eggs on your jerkbait hooks.
  25. Lowest prices I’ve ever seen. Champ XPs, Kadens, and Furys. I’m broke.
