New Rod
Pair it with braid and you can do a lot with it. Jigs, T rigs, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, cranks, top water.......... A moderate action rod with good backbone is a very versatile tool when paired with no/low stretch line.

Lew's Team Pro SP Speed Spool
I'm happy as can be with mine. 40# 832 on it. Plenty of capacity for anything you want to do when spooled with braid, and no need for mono backing.

Is there any point to going fishing tomorrow?
He drives my wife nuts when I watch his channel on the TV. It's a short drive. ? I think he's pretty funny, and a good fisherman. I'm a fan.

Am I the only one?
Try it after dark with a big single colorado blade.

Hooks
Those weedless wacky's are awesome. The flouro weedguard is outstanding. WAY better than wire IMO.

How did that banana superstition get started?
Monkey never hear of silly superstition. You buy new Expride now!!!

T/W Phone Hours.
Fed Ex is worse than UPS about this in my experience but I've had it happen with both companies in the past year. Everything has showed up on my porch within a day or two.

Budget jig rod..
I hear ya. I'm glad I have the new boat to keep me busy on days off for the next few weeks. Bought a Polar Kraft 1648 mod v jon. Building an all aluminum deck in it. All my reels are serviced and I don't need to make too many baits. I'd be going stir crazy without the boat project.

Budget jig rod..
I think you'll be very pleased with your choice. That blank will do a lot. It's one that never leaves my deck, and I usually have two with me. Let us know how you like it after you get to take it for a spin.

Any interest in trapping?
Thanks for the info on the leaf guards.

Budget jig rod..
? I think they're very good for what they cost, especially since they upgraded the guides from stainless to aluminum oxide. The 7' MH was my jig rod for several years. It's actually the rod I caught my PB LM on.

Why the need to change hooks on a hard bait?
All hooks should be red. Red disappears underwater so fish can't see them. I read that on the interweb, so it has to be true. ?

Budget jig rod..
Cobbs analysis of the two. The 7'3" standard MH isn't available in the Lancer, just the Cobb. Same price, same blank material, same guides, seat, handle, different cosmetics.

Budget jig rod..
Same rods different cosmetics far as I can tell. I don't have a standard MH from ARK to compare to other than the Hammer, and it's a 7' MH XF with a soft tip. Completely different animal. The ARK 7'3" Mag MH blank has the power of my Kaden 765 Flip, but is lighter and more sensitive.

Jig Fishing Smallmouth
I'll second this. Solid jig at a good price. 3" twin tail grub trailer.

Any interest in trapping?
Those coon try to dig their way to china once they're in that trap don't they? I had one that took weeks to catch one time. Stole my bait night after night, even after I wired it to the cage. Finally caught her and understood. She was so big the tap door couldn't close behind her. When it finally did, she completely filled the trap. Had to weigh her. 24.5# One of the biggest coon I ever saw.

Progressive polarized sunglasses??
I've been wearing progressives for almost 5yrs now. The only way to fly IMO. I have them keep the transition pretty low and I adjusted to them in just a few hours. I drive truck and my employer buys me a pair of clear and polarized sunglasses every other year. I'm sure they're not cheap, but it's nice being able to see to tie knots with my shades on. I'd purchase them myself if my employer didn't.

Mono vs fluoro
? Come right in and swat the hornets nest with your very first post!!! I like the way you roll Brownbasser!!! LOL Just kidding brother. This topic always stirs up... "spirited" debate. Welcome to the club. You'll enjoy it here. Good bunch of folks.
- A Winter Question?

Umbrella Rig
Thanks for asking @FishinBuck07. I was gonna post the same question sometime this winter. I'm gonna spend some time with it next spring. I've never really given it a fair shot. My 766 Dobyns Sierra hasn't seen much action for awhile. It should be great for throwing an A-Rig. I'd also like to know if y'all that throw'em ever target deeper fish with them or just fairly shallow structure?

Early spring jig colors
Green pumpkin and black and blue year round. I've tried lots of stuff over the years and don't feel the need to go beyond these anymore.

Mono vs fluoro
Let us know how the 30# blue label works out. I for one would be interested. I think it's tough to draw any definitve conclusions without a large sample size. Musky won't leave my TRD Bug alone in the spring. Last spring I had 7 on one day and got bit off 5 times. The previous spring I had 9 on one day and landed 7. 6# Trilene XT both times. Simply a matter of whether they got the line in their mouth or not. I've had similar experience with heavier mono and several flouro's up to 25#, and braids 30 - 50#, but I've never tried the harder flouro leader materials.

Mono vs fluoro
I've never noticed a difference in any type of line with pike and musky in the # tests we bass anglers use. If they get it in their mouth they'll cut right through any of it.
