The original G Loomis 6'8" E6X 803S MH has been my favorite all around stick when Smallie fishing the GMR here in SW Ohio. It throws any bait and has great sensitivity. I pair it with a Stradic FL 3000. I'm definitely a St Croix fan boy but I love my Loomis

I usually fish with St Croix Legend Elites,LTBs and Victory rods paired up with Stradics and Vanfords. That being said my favorite setup right now is an older 6'6" HMG with the new Plueger Supreme. I'm using it for jerkbaits.

I use a 5'10" St Croix Legend Tourney Bass with the new Shimano Sahara FJ

It's a great real at that price, probably wouldn't have cost Shimano that much to put a bearing there.

How do you feel about a bushing in the Line roller instead of a bearing.

Shimano Sidestab spinning reel I bought around 1992. My first "Decent" spinning reel. Caught thousands of fish on it until she finally died on me a few years ago.

Have the 7'3" MXF with a 3000 Vanford and I'm loving it. Using it to throw Big Joshy's and similar swimbaits on jig heads. Great sensitivity and it throws the baits a mile lol. Highly recommend, probably my favorite rod that I use. It's not really an XF The top third of the rod is special.

I enjoy my HMG 6'6" spinning rod.I picked up the last gen HMG off of a discount site. While I'm a St Croix guy, The HMG works well for me when I'm fishing in my Yak. The HMG and any Diawa Lt under a 100 would work for anyone getting back into Bass fishing.

I use Suffix 832 on all my spinning reels. Been using for a few years without any issues.

I throw Rapala Shadow Raps and Shadow Rap Shads with great success in the Great Miami.
