  1. I don't use CP. Most NOCP (ProWrap is called ColorFast) is OK, a few colors look really flat. I use a lot of metallic thread too.
  2. Gudebrod 720 Light Gray Photos don't do justice. Doing your own tests are best. FYI you can wrap nylon thread and put a couple drops of isopropyl alcohol on it to get a pretty good idea of how it will change with finish.
  3. Casting power not at all and lifting power not significantly, but find exactly how it will feel to you. Mock up a reel seat with some masking tape bushings on the uncut blank at the length you would put it from the butt. Put a tip on the rod and tie it off against a weight and load it like you are fishing. Repeat with the reel seat moved 3" forward on the blank.
  4. What about the support of the rod? It should be 10% of the rod length which is 7 13/16" from the butt.
  5. Sometimes but not always ?
  6. See how the Aero or CRB Palm Swell feels in an uplocking orientation.
  7. If you have used Microwave guides before and are satisfied with performance the standard set will probably be OK for what you describe. Do yourself a favor and look into what Chris and Mick are saying and do a side by side comparison on your own between a Microwave setup and the Fuji KLH/KT setup.
  8. Here's one with as received MHX Winn grips
  9. RIP Coach . . . he gave me a lot of info for building snapper and grouper rods.
  10. Been reading this forum for a few months. Friendly, and a lot of great info for someone like me who's not much of a bass guy, so decided to register! Mike
  11. Been a few years ago but I got a Fishouflage camo Batson SB842 from Get Bit. It has held up well.
