Specifically I will be throwing the Z-Man micro jig with some type of zman finesse trailer...TRD, Hawgz, Crawz etc. I have alot of current rods to select from currently I just didn't know which one to grab. I might start with my 6'6" M and try a 6'6" ML if I don't like it.

Looking to throw a 3/16 micro jig w/trailer and was looking for input on what rod you would use and why. Most fishing will be done without much for obstructions. Watched some videos on YouTube and seen everything from ML spinning to MH casting for recommendations. I will be using a spinning reel for these but need help with the right setup. I was thinking ML or M 6'6" or 7"

Agreed...I have replaced my jig inventory with these. Love the color selection as well.

After fishing with the Daiwa my buddies stradic feels uncomfortably heavy.

I can relate. I think everyone ebbs and flows with their hobbies. Stress doesn't help motivation. Don't worry about not fishing...it will always be there when u r ready.

What did u have? Mine was Ned rig, shakey head and swim jigs.

Personally i don't think it sounds dumb AT ALL. I do the same in regards to risk factor of losing lures. I love buying lures but if there is an unusually high risk of losing I will throw a Rapala instead of a Lucky Craft ?‍♂️

Was looking at them myself. Definitely has an erratic action. Not really sure what to think about that. Haven't bought one yet... Will probably stick with the Curve Finesse.

Same here. One of my best friends fished Mac every weekend and I went out with him. Enjoyed it because it was different. But I would much rather be chasing bass and pike.?

Good point and something to look into. I think it also depends on your insurance person. We have a family friend that we have been with for 25 years that I have zero doubt that what I have pictures of wouldn't be covered.

I have a very easy answer for myself and it became crystal clear last year. Its when my son (who is 12) has success. I have all the patience in the world and can cast all day with various levels of catching and be happy as a clam being out in nature. Its when he struggles thats tough for me.

I do remember the post about the Red bait posted earlier now that u mention it. I have never thrown much for Red baits and the video I mentioned just made me more curious how popular of a color choice it is. It especially talked about the Firecraw Jackhammer. Thanks everyone for their feedback.

Watched a video yesterday that was talking about using Red colored hardbaits during Pre-Spawn. I was curious if anyone has any bait color choices they are more likely to use strictly based on the season.

Hola! Been reading on these forums for a looong time. Been a dedicated waterfowler my whole life and am transitioning more to my 2nd passion of fishing. Im 47 with 3 boys and an amazing wife. Favorite things to fish for are bass and pike as I LOVE to throw lures but enjoy fishing for anything. Don't have a boat yet but will someday! Favorite rods and reels=Daiwa, favorite lure company=6th Sense, favorite things to throw=jerkbait, spinnerbait, bladed jig and squarebill. I'm a social butterfly so it has been long overdue to join and chat! Look forward to the chit chat?
