Favorite cheap wines...
I can second this one. The other one I really like -my favorite actually- is Araldica Fazzoletto. It's a red, has a picture of Julius Caesar on the bottle, and has a red do-rag on the neck. I can't tell you anything else about it, other than it's goooooood! ?

Other Species on the A-Rig?
From what I can tell, it works pretty well for any type of fish that eats other fish. Perfect. Thanks everyone.

How would the pros do?
This might be the best analogy of what a professional bass fishermen (and ideally us amateurs as well) do or should be doing. With fishing though, it's a dual-stage process. "Am I on fish, and do they want what I'm offering."

How'd you do this year?
I could go in-depth on my season, but I'll sum it up by saying this: I learned a lot and I had fun. That's all I can ask for.

Other Species on the A-Rig?
I know the a-rig does well for bass, but what other species have you caught on it? I'm considering trying it for the annual striper run on the Hudson in the early spring.

If a top-shelf bass fishing celebrity could join BassResource...
I've been giving this post some thought recently, and while it would be nice to get a top shelf bass fishing celeb, the amount of knowledge we have here already is likely more than enough for the rest of us. Between @Glenn posts and videos and the posts from all of the other experts on here (there's far too many to list. I started, and once I got to six and realized I was still missing people I said forget it), there's more info on here than a person could absorb in 3 lifetimes. So my question to the rest of you is, what info could you get from a pro fisherman that you can't already get here? I mean no disrespect with this question, I'm truly interested in what sorts of info or points of view may be missing here.

Calculating Battery Life for Trolling Motor
Thanks Tom. This should go without saying, but I'll listen to your advice on anything regarding fishing.

Calculating Battery Life for Trolling Motor
It's a 10ft Pelican Predator. Small enough to still fit in the bed of my truck.

Calculating Battery Life for Trolling Motor
So considering the fact that I’ll need another battery for what I want to do regardless, can I wire a traditional car battery in series (or parallel, I can never remember which) to extend the usable life?
-
Calculating Battery Life for Trolling Motor
Thank you sir. @A-Jay I’m sure you’re 100% correct as far as real results, I just wanted to get the mathematical side of it. Especially knowing that for a full day out I’ll need another battery.

Calculating Battery Life for Trolling Motor
I have a 30lb thrust trolling motor, and a marine battery that has 685 cold cranking amps and 140 reserve. How do I calculate the running time for the trolling motor? And please, just like in school, show all work (or at least explain how you got there). ?

Am I the only bass fishing diehard that doesn't care about the pro tournaments?
Like others have said, if it's a tournament on a body of water I fish, I'll watch, just to see where they're catching them. For example, before my tournament at Cayuga Lake this year, I watched a few tournaments on YouTube that were on it. Much to no one's surprise, I didn't learn much watching a tournament that took place in July for a tournament I fished in May. Unless you've had your own video released on VHS (Rick Clunn, Denny Brauer, Kevin VanDam, etc.) there's a good chance I've never heard of you.

Have you quit fishing before?
I quit from 1992-2020, so about 28 years. In '92 I realized that in order to have any hope of competing at a decent level in one sport, you pretty much need to cut off all other sports (at least in my case, as A-Jay says, ymmv). So in 2020, after realizing that my competitive years were well-behind me, I decided to get back into it. My bank account has been regretting that decision ever since! ?

An $11,000 bare bones fishing kayak
You would know better than I would, but wouldn't you be concerned about hitting anything with a CF kayak? It doesn't really give like the plastic or whatever they're made out of ones do.

An $11,000 bare bones fishing kayak
As others have said, that thing is awful looking. But here's my thing: I've banged my kayak against all sorts of stuff. Wood and trees going after largemouth and countless rocks going after smallies. With that being carbon fiber, I don't think it'll have the give that traditional kayaks have.

Tips on pickerel fishing?
I meant members of the esox family are more chase predators than bass are. You can catch pike, pickerel, and musky by trolling much more frequently than you can bass.

Tips on pickerel fishing?
Hahaha, great reference! I only wish I could run into that with their larger cousins.

Tips on pickerel fishing?
I was reeling mine almost as quickly as I could past some reeds, and invariably one would come out and run it down.

Tips on pickerel fishing?
I've caught a ton of picks this year on the biggest Keitech Fat Impact you can find. And reel it faster than you think you should. Bass are ambush predators, but members of the esox family are chase predators.

Buying From Small Shops vs Big Shops
Which one is that? The only one I know of is Wiggly Worm in Burnt Hills, and they're almost 100% live bait now. One of the reasons I brought this up is because those of you who say you do the majority of your buying online, you can still support mom n' pop shops online. The experience you get is so much better. Take my experience with Mike from @Siebert Outdoors; here's a rough version of what we went through. I messaged him and said I'd like to get into jig fishing, but I don't really know where to start. He said, great, what sorts of cover do you like to fish? I told him my go-to's are any solid cover; fallen timber, docks, etc. and then if that isn't working I fall back to weedbeds. He said, okay, how about water clarity? I said it's almost always somewhere between stained and clear, never muddy. He said, sure, I'll put together a bunch of jigs for you and you can check on my website on how each of them should be used. I'm going to go out on a limb and say if I called BPS's customer service and told them I wanted to get into jig fishing but didn't know where to start, my experience would not be the same.

Buying From Small Shops vs Big Shops
I usually try to support the small privateers as much as I can, so I'm curious as to everyone else's approach. I've bought products from @Siebert Outdoors as well as working out a deal with @PourMyOwn for some hand poured plastics and both products exceeded my expectations.

Help me make a decision
I’ve had a 12’ kayak and now currently have something similar to the prowler (Pelican Predator). Get the prowler. There’s so much more room. It’s more versatile in terms of taking someone with you or standing up in. Like others have said though, it’s basically a big plastic toaster, so they don’t handle waves well. So as long as the lakes you’re going out on don’t have serious chop you’ll be fine.

Boat Registration Question
I recently bought a boat from a different state that was never registered (they never put a motor on it). I have the bill of sale from the owner, but does anyone know how to go about registering this? It will be registered in NY.
