  1. A friend took this of me at Santee last weekend. We caught 10 or so. This was my biggest. 2lb 14oz on a wacky rig. Oh yeah. Seth Feider came by us and fished same docks we fished. We backed out of his way. I told him we would get out of the way, he was fishing for money, we weren’t.
  2. The tried and true methods still catch fish. Don't abandon what you're doing. I like the advances in equipment. Reels that cast easier and rods that are more sensitive. I've got in to some new techniques. There does seem to be more tournaments now so there is more pressure on the fish and that's a bummer. When I take my sons to the lake I'm always saying, I bet the tournament guys have already fished these spots 5 times before we get there. But it's still one of my favorite things to do and I still have a lot of fun.
  3. I like a custom handmade rod. Very nice.
  4. Last couple of days on Lake Murray
  5. This is what it looks like with a fish on it…
  6. I put covers on all of my baitcasters. I really do like clean reels. I have 5 and 6 year old reels that still look new. I have read that Zillions scratch easy. I’m just going to have to accept that it is a tool and stuff happens.
  7. Got the new Zillion on a custom WickedStyx rod. 7’2” Med Hvy Fast. Spooled it up and it’s ready for the water. Thanks to some of you for helping make the decision to get the JDM Zillion. I think I’m going to like it.
  8. Caught 4 like this one Saturday. I had a big one get off at the boat. Fun day.
  9. From what I can tell, that's just parts diagrams. Thanks for your effort. Greatly appreciated.
  10. Look what came today. I like it a lot. Seems legit. I’ll get it on a rod and spool it shortly. I need help. The owners manual is in Japanese. Where can I download an owners manual in English?
  11. Others said they had bought from Amazon jp with good results. The expected delivery date is April 20th so it will be a while, but I'll let you know how it turns out.
  12. The price went up again today on Digitaka so I ordered the Zillion SV from Amazon jp today. I’ve never used them so I hope the transaction goes good and I hope the reel is authentic. I’ll be standing by the mailbox. I have a Wickedstyx Custom Rod that I am going to pair it with. Should make a great combo. Thank you all for the help and the info. You guys twisted my arm and put the bait monkey on me.
  13. Is this a good place to buy? Is it the same reel?
  14. Now yall have talked me into buying the Zillion. But the price went up. Will it come back down? I’m going to be watching now for it to come back down. I was really liking it at $225. Those tariff fees were still putting it at $250 and I was willing to take that, but that’s about as much as I want to put into it.
  15. I held a Zillion today and I do like it a lot. I came home to order and just my luck, the price went up. I need a coupon code for digitaka. I’m going to wait until Monday since it’s the weekend. Does the price sometimes go back down. And I’m looking for that coupon code.
  16. Yeah, I put one in the cart and it went to $247. That is a bummer. I’m going to a big fishing show Saturday. I’m going to try to get one in my hand before pulling the trigger on one. At Digitaka there is a place for a coupon code at checkout. Does anyone know a coupon code?
  17. Allright, you’ve got me looking at the Zillion SV from Digitaka. I’m watching some videos. None of our tackle shops have any to hold. I’m looking at palmability. Have any of you had them for a few years? Do they hold up? I’ve always thought Lews gave me a lot for my money. But with Lews going to 200 bucks, I’d go another 25 for something more premium. Thanks for putting me on that.
  18. I know there’s a lot of brand lovers and haters here, but I’m looking for as unbiased feedback as I can get. I like Lews reels a lot. I have a couple of Lews Customs that are at the top of my list. They have 10 bearings, great cast control, accuracy and distance. I find them to be durable and stay smooth for years. I have found them to be worth the money. But this year the price has gone up. They are now $199 and never go on sale. So I’ve been looking at Daiwa Tatulas. They are a little more expensive but I see them on sale a lot. I like the looks of the SV and the Elites. So to you that have fished both. How well do Daiwa Tatulas hold up? Do they stay smooth? I notice they have less bearings and lower drag. Which is better? The SV or the Elite? I’m scared SV wouldn’t give the distance and Elite wouldn’t have as good of control. I’m just thinking of trying one. If I have to spend $200 bucks, I may want to try something new. Or should I just stick with what I know?
  19. Went over to Myrtle Beach today. Hit up Bass Pro and Palmetto State Armory…
  20. I joined the club in September. The Dr put me on a blood pressure pill. My muscles to start to stiffen up after sitting in the same position for long periods. I fished for half a day yesterday and complained about my backache the rest of the day. Old people problems…
  21. My wife took these yesterday on Wateree. This was a 2 pounder. I have a story about how the big one got away. I had about a 4 pounder shake a buzz bait off on me right at the boat. Fun times…
  22. Today was a few dinks and this 2-2/2 pounder. Still a good day on Lake Murray, SC…
  23. 3-1/2 pounder fought like a 4. Fun time…
  24. Trip to Bass Pro yesterday. My wife was with me so I had to hold back. Still got a little bit…
  25. Anyone have a coupon code for Digitaka?
