I try to read and watch all kinds of videos to learn all kinds of tricks and tips. As long as you've been fishing. Your never too old to learn something new.

Never really even considered worrying about distance. As long as my lure goes where I want it to go I'm happy. That's not to say that casting into shore from my little Jon boat that I haven't sent one 20 ft up in a tree on the shoreline ? It happens though.

I remember when I was young being addicted to every scent that came out. I would buy the latest in the greatest. Whether they work I have no idea I can't even remember it was so long ago. All soft beats seem to be impregnated with something percent factors.

I have not weighed a fish in years. I do not keep anything. I'm strictly catching release guy and I do all I kind of handle them with the greatest of care. I would like to have one for that just in case moment big Bertha was on the line ?

Looking to finally invest in a decent fishing scale basically for bass fishing only. I still have a few of those old black rapala ones with the hook and the actual spring. Looking to upgrade to something a little more modern. Nothing that'll break the bank. But something that's of decent quality. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I like that donkey leash idea. Can honestly say I never heard of one. We used to use those old time metal stringers that look like oversized swivels. But obviously that was only the fish we kept. No such thing is smartphones back then ?

If I get the fish once a week I feel blessed. I'd give anything to be able to fish more. 16-hour work days does not help my fishing life ☹️

I have never used any type of inline fuse or breaker with my 12-ft jon boat and Minn kota motor. Maybe I've just been lucky? Ran the same motor for over 12 years. Actually just purchased a new one last week.
