  1. I certainly want one bad enough, the Zillion SV TW is just such a bargain.
  2. I only have the 5 and 10, but I agree on so much that the Berkeley bait is so much more refined. Equally sharp hooks as the gamas on the OG series baits, and has a great subtle colder water wobble. It shined for me once the water got cold from Fall to Winter. Like Rapala though, Berkeley finish options leave a lot to be desired. I just went with that kentucky blue.
  3. Fantastic Dad! Being a hammer at that age might afford him the opportunity to pay for college, or even be a pro one day. Impressive young man.....hope to see him hold a Classic trophy up in 15-20 years ?
  4. They ruined me. Getting close to buying another Zillion from them. Every Sunday night I open up Digitaka, because I know if I order by then, I'll for sure have it before Friday ?
  5. I wish I could blame the weather, but it's nothing short of spectacular. Breezy, high 70s, super sunny, almost full moon high in the sky.....but atlas 8 fish + a big Crappie. The amount of human activity level is very significant over these last few weeks, the days and even months of having a lake to myself are over, the summer can't come fast enough when my advantage will kick back in when I have the lake to myself every single night. Quality fish on a new Jackall Rerange, along with 4 others. Caught two sub 2lb fish on a 7.5" Shimano 190SF big swimbait lol. Lastly caught a chunky 2lb fish on the flashback mini. I'm seeing some bigger fish on sonar but couldn't crack them. I hate the Spring ?
  6. I've bought three reels including the zillions from Digitaka. 5 stars.....ship faster than CONUS companies. Pay with CC to avoid paypal screwry
  7. Man that was seriously impressive by Justin Barnes.....having the wheels come off until 2pm and then producing 23lb bag to take the win home. Wouldn't have guessed they were cranking deep, and using other techniques deep. Lot of good fish came from beds on the first day. 50lb bag to win a two day tourney is excellent. Good for Eufaula.
  8. I'm fishing exclusively for a DD LGM on my homelake.....the side benefit is catching smaller LGMs and Spots ? Maybe some S FL guys do because it's one of the few regions in the nation where sub species don't overlap. It's pretty hard to just target one of the big three given their presence is in equal numbers in said body of water. SLR is a good example where one might actually be able to target SMs offshore deep, and then LGMs shallower, in grass, etc.
  9. Everybody on this site who posts a fat Bass pic and mentions the lure.....I'M LOOKING AT ALL OF YOU ?
  10. JDM 21 Zillion SV TW 1000 Heavily biased but this is one of the greatest reels on the market at any price, and it's 50 below your budget, it's a no brainer imho. A Zillion HD is right at your budget, epic reel as well, and I do mean epic. Zillion, Zillion, and oh yeah get a Zillion ? edit... the Zillions are also the most user friendly, set and forget reels I've ever used. You have to try to backlash them, seriously.
  11. Awesome, now snap a pic of an Ocelot and you'd have two of the most rare critters in America that live in the same general area.
  12. Yeah this is seemingly his new MO, he gets up there on that leaderboard on day 1, expect him to finish there. Very impressive, that leaderboard has been shook up too. He just needs that "one fish" you often hear these guys talk about post tourney. Hope he gets it. A 6 or 7lb fish would do it I bet.
  13. It's an amazing bait, I hope you get to fish it this week, be sure to post up your results. It's a magic bullet for those suspended fish feeding on smaller sized Shad.
  14. OH Ivie was a dead lake literally not that long ago, then it refilled, TPWS stocked it properly, and here we are today. Bob Lusk talks about this in his most recent podcast.
  15. Those baitholders would hold a teener LGM, or a Bonita/Skippy ?
  16. That Golden Shiner does look great, more folks need to make Shiner big baits.
  17. The magnet is in the middle, and the only time it engages is when those two metal hinges are straight and above and below that magnet.
  18. Yeah I'll confirm for sure tomorrow. Either way this thing throws a country mile ? Thanks!
  19. Yes it seems to be for sure, and the directions say not to store it with other plastics. I was re reading the info that Shimano put out, and it seems to contradict what I just witnessed. It said the bait folds up in flight, mine would fly perfectly straight. They said it won't wander off or turn 180, mine did. Odd marketing lol.
  20. Thanks brother! Now to catch a fish on the thing ?
  21. I wanted to update about the Armajoint 190SF above after just throwing about 50 casts with it in 25mph winds and hours after two days of straight ran and murky water. Skunked which I counted on but I had to see what 50 bones bought me. I got to say, I thought I was impressed with Flashboost and how it was such game changing tech on a suspending Jerkbait, but ArmaJoint is just incredible!!! ArmaJoint tech is basically a small magnet that locks the 7.5" bait perfectly straight while it's in flight......after watching things like S-Waver168s helicopter in and have significantly reduced cast/more effort to achieve same distance cast, I was stupefied the first time I launched the thing. I never have launched a big swimbait as effortlessly and as far as this bait. Imagine a big hard swimbait that casts like a Vision 110, I kid you not, this bait is that. Action + Flashboost the action on this bait is quite unique based on the several hundred bucks I've got into big hard swimbaits, the reason it's unique is because when you hit your hard reel turns or twitch the rod tip to make it 180 left and right.....this bait does so, but has the most deadly looking body roll over all the baits I own in the category. Now when you combine that body roll on the jerks with the inch plus long piece of flashboost, there can't be another bait that throws as much light and flash as this one. In murky water you can see it flash like a giant shad from 25-30yds out, granted it was sunny. I thought I was buying more of a glide bait, but realized at the store it had a second joint, however it's very minimal in terms of movement. Even still, the bait has a very tight S swim to it like a BD Shad, 6th Sense Trace, Storm Arashi 18, Jackall Gantarels, etc. It's a slow float that darn near suspends, really digging this aspect of the bait, however it's also a 0-1ft subsurface running bait which I'm not really digging. On a bomb cast with heavier Fluoro I was getting it down to about 2.5 ft maybe. Gonna play around with some suspend dots on it. It's worth the time, I just hope it doesn't screw up the body roll which again is incredible in combo with the flashboost. Hooks/hardware has the same silverish type hooks that came on the flashboost WM, and ones that I really like. Plenty of strength, and super sticky sharp. No Split ring on the nose, and sadly no rotating rings on the hooks, however this bait employs a third unique technology "hook-hold wires" which pin the hooks against the bait to ensure they don't get tangled up. The thought and overall high tech feel to this bait is unique, same on the flashboost WMs. Outside finish unlike a bait like the R2S Swaver168 that has hook rash after a dozen casts, this bait had not a single scratch after close to 50 casts I'd say, and the finish is exquisite. Pics don't really translate the flashy scale pattern to them. At close to 50bucks with tax I felt others might like a review from a newb swimbaiter. It's a very neat bait, and the tech is very much real in usage. For right now, $50 is about the most I'd ever spend on a bait, and I actually think this bait merits it's cost. Lots of thought, tech, and refinement in it. Heck it's a great bait to just collect I'm sure.
  22. LOLOLOLOL.....never has somebody had a more appropriate screen name, what's the address that I send the bill to ? The Flashboost WM below it has been dynamite, Shimano earned my money, hopefully I catch a toad off it to justify the cost.
  23. We got tornados, large hail, and t storms about roll through and we got a wind advisory.....that said it is sunny at the moment...Alabama weather summed up perfectly? Look at that pressure, that's pretty wild, can't remember the last time I've seen it this low #TheBraidedGOAT ?
  24. It's about 100x easier to learn how to fish a bait than learn how to reliably predict where fish are going to be, if you can even do that. We all know the general areas and times where fish should be, but atlas Bass are about as predictable as a 10 day weather forecast. The real pros and experts know this fact, and because of that aren't nearly as willing to disclose hard learned secrets about finding them. Same reason Josh Jones isn't giving a seminar on Live Scope for free on Youtube. Most pros will always tell you what they caught them on, they'll almost never tell you where they caught them. Just my 2cents.
