Dudes are fishing a dozen deep in an industrial park ? These Orange fans must be really special to keep bringing an Elite event back to this place. Not very much fun to watch.

I use the term gucci in tackle to mainly describe JDM baits, anything high end, custom big baits as well. ATA is in that club posting PB rats, and noisy diks haha. I wanted the PB rat but settled for the biggest Spro Rat. I'm gonna buy like 2-3 $150-200 big swimbaits to scratch a very particular Gizzard itch, but I'm really trying to save up for another Bass boat......you know so I can have a bigger pit to dump money into ?

I couldn't have a lower opinion than I do of those people, but I'm glad you like the place and have had good experiences there I always appreciate the great detailed pics and gucci variety of your posts ?

I guess that's why places like Texas and Alabama love them, you could take away the Elite and BPT events, and it wouldn't make a dent in the pressure that Guntersville, Lay, Eufaula, Pickwick, Wheeler, etc. receive. Lay Lake has a derby going day and night seemingly every day this time of year. That's pretty much where the sport is in terms of public fisheries, fishing pressure has never been as high as it after Covid.

Didn't realize how many places apparently don't want them there based on all the interviews at weighins yesterday, especially Rick Clunns. They are rockstars in Alabama, obviously loved in TX as well. Wonder where they don't like these guys....maybe up north where Bass fishing doesn't dominate as much?

Sniper. I use both extensively, Invizx for spinning reels, Sniper for the pigs. Don't like the abrasion resistance of Invizx as much as Sniper, and to be honest both suck in comparision to cheaper P line Ultimate Fluoro, but that stuff is rope thick.

They're stupid and I hate them until June 5 according to the tracking I check every 5 minutes ? I actually tried to get in on the drop for the KGB TSGs this morning.....had myself and another person trying to score bait, they were gone within 20-30seconds. $175 baits, and low IQ people like myself are dying to buy one lol. It's stupidity, but I can't help it. These big baits are a form of fishing like nothing else. KGB has a license to print money at this point.

How many actual hours on the water with a big swimbait in your hand have you spent? That's the only way to learn these baits, I watched dozens of hours of YT videos, researched a ton, and then discovered I was learning more in a 3-4hr session of having the bait locked into my hand on the water than in all the stuff I watched or read. I've got well over a 100+ hours with the big baits locked into my hands, 20hrs+ in the last 7-10days. In that last 7-10days I've learned more about how these big baits are applicable to me than the previous 80hrs+. In a few months when I pass 200+ hours.....I'm positive I will be exponentially greater at the big swimbait game. Time on water friend, you literally can't go wrong and will always go right by repeating that over and over and over. All your questions and threads can be answered by doing this. I say this not to demean you or your questions, but rather to say that the best knowledge on here is a far cry from the best knowledge gained on the actual water.....your specific body of water. Go fish these big baits, have fun, all your questions will be answered out there I promise! ?

Lol, this has to be the worst Bass fishing place I've ever seen a derby at. Sumrall is fishing right next to a major highway, another 3 guys are fishing the same creek about 30ft across.

I'm a big Bass factory derby kind of man, but the Elite series is currently my favorite pro sport, every event is fantastic and entertaining to watch. I know Brandon Cobb will somehow find a way in the top 10 and do so using a whacky rig ? Brandon Palaniuk is making a charge at defending his AOY, like to see him in the top 10 as well.

Was listening to BTL earlier with the guy in charge at SPRO and the owner of KGB swimbaits. They've already sold and shipped 15,000 of the Chad Shads. That's incredible lol. Somebody is going to be making a run at the Whopper Plopper in the "Found Lures" thread ?

Have no idea what I'm doing, and as the group picking went along through the groups, the anglers got worse and worse. Group A was stacked, whereas it's a struggle not to pick a guy like Poche in group E lol. Maybe that's how it's supposed to be. I picked either the guys I like or the most innovative guys like Cox and Fujita.

It amazes me how even many Bass anglers don't understand the importance of keeping grass in a lake. Dude who just bought a brand new LVS 34 scope for a dedicated 25k small lake bassboat just hired a bunch of folks to get in the water and rip out a bunch of grass in front of his waterfront. Between the State DNRs and then individual property owners, my new pet peeve is people destroying grass on waterways we all share. I'd make the case that anglers contribute more to lakes than any other group.

I almost hate the stupid bait at this point? I was fishing with a dude last week that had two of the OG resin ones, he had all the baits under the sun, thousands and thousands in these baits. The Phoney Shad was the best-looking bait out of everything to me. The KGB Crappie was a piece of art as well. These baits are so fun to fish with, the beanie baby collectors ruin it for many folks though. I missed the trick shad drop by like 3 mins. Kind of glad now, I'm just gonna call that Phoney Frog dude up, and pre order exactly what I want. If I'm paying $160 for a bait, better be the one that I already have some weird confidence built into.
