I generally use the lightest I can get away with, but as other have pointed out, the depth of the river and speed of current factor in as well. The river within 2 miles of my house is shallow and not fast moving at all, so it's generally a jig head just heavy enough to cast the distance that I need.

I've been trying to use the Fish-n-fool for everything this year. So far I haven't had any issues with it.

I've just always used clear for everything.

I generally use whatever is lying around. Currently it's Yo-Zuri Hybrid and some Invisx. I know everyone on here seems to hate Vanish, but I've been using Vanish 4lb on my trout setups for a couple years now. I've never had one of our "massive" 1 to 2lb trout break it yet :)

I've got a couple, but I've never had them in the water. I've just horded up far more lures than I have the time to use.

The Cudas are cheap and work well.

I was fishing with a friend a few weeks ago that only uses spinning gear for everything. He noticed me picking out a small backlash and commented "that's why I don't fool with those things".

Probably just your vast experience and extreme fishing skills.

I could see a use for the reel when fishing dark nights when you can’t really see your lure in flight that well.

Years ago it was all a friend of mine used. I used to think it would scare fish away, but he always caught as much or even more than the rest of us. Evidently it never scared off those fish.

I've had these two sitting in my rod rack for years unused. I'd wondered if they had any value.

I never did till last year when I cleaned all my handles and then sealed them. I'm not sure it really does anything other than a slight cosmetic change, but since I already bought the bottle, I'll use it yearly until at least I finish what I currently have.

I've been trying braid on one of my spinning reels. In the past I had a lot of wind knots with Power Pro. I switch to Fireline this year and haven't had the problem. I don't know if that's from switching lines or some other mix of reasons though.
