Keeping track of multiple rods and techniques
I started out with grand ideas of “this is my worm set up, this is my jig set up, etc”. But after one trip I find a spinnerbait tied on my worm rig, a Texas rig tied on my jig setup, etc. in other words my grand plans all fall apart :)

Mann's Jelly Worms?
My dad swore by blue, but I'm guessing he caught more fish on the blue one because he fished that color more than anything else. I still have a bunch of Jelly Worms in black, purple, and blue.

What knot do you tie when you can't tie a palomar knot?
Nobody using the reverse clinch knot? I tried it today with initially running the line thorough the eye twice. It was fairly easy to tie and seemed strong.
-
Lure wraps
I use similar wraps. Normally whatever the cheapest ones I can find. The work to keep the hooks from getting caught in anything. I never really thought about a rust issue, but it shouldn't be a problem if you remove them after you get back home after each trip.

Abu Garcia Revo SX Voltiq
You lost me on that comment. I'm not sure how my original post has anything to do with my work ethic or stupid mistakes....

Abu Garcia Revo SX Voltiq
He'd seemed fairly objective. I watched another review from a sponsored guy who made it look like it was impossible to backlash. :) I'll be interested to see how theyi pan out. I've been seeing KastKing advertising their own "backlash free" reel.

nightcrawlers
I've never worried much about keeping them year round, but you can pick up a cheap cooler and some worm bedding (ground up paper) fairly cheap and keep them all fishing season fairly easily. They'll need air holes in the cooler top.

What knot do you tie when you can't tie a palomar knot?
All I used for years was the improved clinch knot. I started using the fish-n-fool knot some last year, but found when I was in a hurry the improved clinch knot was used from muscle memory. I'm going to try to give the fish-n-fool more use this season.

The Gerald Swindell knot
The video I watched of Gerald tying the knot shows a doubled clinch knot, it does go back through the top like an improved clinch knot.

Putting on line question
I bought a KastKing line spooler when I wanted to measure how much backing was adding to a reel, but the vast majority of the time I just use a pencil between my toes to keep tension on the spool.

Tatula X review... The Tatula 100/Elite is over!!
I doubt I'll get rid of my old Tatulas (that would be too expensive), but I did buy an Tatula X last week. Hopefully I'll get to try it out one day next week. I'm hoping I'm as impressed with it as Eric 26!

How many miles do you go to fish?
My closest bass lake is about 48 miles, but it's muddy filling up with silt. The best lake is a little over 60 miles away. I wish I were closer.

Favorite spinnerbaits?
I generally use the cheapo Strike Kings from Walmart since I don't care as much if I lose them. As long as the blades spin, they work for me.

Tatula love is over. KastKing is here to dominate Daiwa/Shimano with their AL-Ti!
I believe he's referring to the guy who made the video.

Technique specific rods?
I have no doubt that specific rods would be better in various situation and with different tackle, but other than one medium moderate rod I often use for crankbaits, the other casting rods are just general medium/fast or heavy/fast and I use them for everything. I never knew I needed technique specific rods until I started reading the internet
