Barefoot and footwear in the Boat
I've thought about these to get a little more elevation for long casts, and the black should match all my outfits, but I'm not sure how hard it would be to walk around when the water is choppy.

Barefoot and footwear in the Boat
I spent years guiding whitewater either barefoot or in Teva or Alps. After years of sun damage to my skin, I keep a pair or cheapo slip on from Walmart in the boat. They're light and comfortable, but protect my feet from the sun.

Florocarbon line test
Nothing like a guy telling a product is the best while at the same time having that company name on his shirt/boat/website/etc.

To service, or not to service (new to me 90hp Mercury)
I replaced it with the oil specified by the engine manufacturer.

To service, or not to service (new to me 90hp Mercury)
I'm pretty much in the same boat I purchased an Xpress with a 90hp Mercury this year. Even though I didn't get enough hours on the engine to get it out of the break-in period, I changed the engine oil, filter, water/fuel filter, greased the fittings, and changed the lower unit oil. I also ran some Marine Sta-Bil thorough the engine for storage. It probably need the fluids and filters changed, but I figured I'd start out the spring with everything ready to run for the season.

I'm Still Sick About It
I'm sure someone that was contemplating ordering one would appreciate hearing about the issue. I'm always interested in opinions on new items.

What line ( type, pound, brand) for spin rods
I had wind knots with braid and got tired of leaders so I normally use 4lb or 6lb flurocarbon or mono.

Website acting odd or my iPhone
I thought it was my phone, but then came home and my laptop was doing the same thing.

Rod Selection: The Basics
I spent years fishing with a "heavy" rod, a "medium" rod and an "ultralight" rod all filled with mono. I never knew I needed various length and weight rods as well as different speed reels and braid, fluro, and mono lines until I started reading the internet I'm kidding because I have zero doubt that specific setups are more effective in various situations, but I do try to keep it simple and not worry so much about the "best" setups. I have to admit that this forum has cost me money already though!

learned something new today. rod sleeves in the back of pickup will suck off.
I had a rod in the back of a truck with the rod tip forward once. After I hard, unexpected brake, the rod flew forward and broke the tip off. I now put them butt forward.

Why do YOU fish for bass with 65+pound braid?
Because I'm fishing for 60 pound bass??? No, I've never used braid that heavy.

Shimano Miravel
I'd say it's a cost savings and the felt it's not really needed. I was shocked several years ago when I discovered decent quality reels now coming without them. It was a little odd to me at first, but I've gotten used to it now.

Revo5 SX or Tatula SV
I need to update some equipment from my old Ambassador reels that I haven't had out in years. I've read good reviews on both the Revo5 SX and Tatula SV. I'm curious opinions on them. I'm just looking for something for all around use and hopefully a bit more backlash resistant than my old reels.

Help identifying these old lures
Rabble Rouser, that's it! We had a shallower diving version as well, but it got lost hung in a tree somewhere in the past

Help identifying these old lures
Can anyone ID these for me? I know the two wooden ones are old, but can't find any markings on them. I believe my father purchased the plastic on sometime in the early 80's.
