Waterproof vs nonwaterproof tackle boxes
I have a few waterproof boxes simply because I got them on sale, but really don't have a preference for them over the standard boxes.

connection knots
The only rods I use leaders on are spinning reels so the eye size isn't really an issue. I have casting rods with micro guides that I'm sure would cause problems with braid to leader knots.

Line color
I always preferred "invisible" or as close to as invisible lines as possible. My long time fishing buddy always used high visibility lines. Some days I caught more while other days he caught more. I have to say I really didn't see a difference based on line color.

Line Knots in Braid
I'm sure it has zero influence on wind knots. I was just curious about the metal micro swivel hitting the micro eye tip over and over when casting.

Line Knots in Braid
Those of you useing micro swivels, I assume you're talking a swivel between your braid and a leader. Are you using very short leaders? I'd think even a micro swivel could cause issues with the rod guides.

Who Carries Daily.....and What Do You Carry...and Why..?
I usually carry a S&W 632UC (32 H&R mag) in my pocket. It doesn't have the recoil of a +p 38 in an airweight revolver, plus I get six rounds instead of five.

A love letter to mono
I used mono only for years. Everything from 2lb for trout up to 30lb for catfish. I didn't know I "needed" anything else till the internet came around

Bearing oil
I see the youtube guys say to only use oil made specifically for fishing reels, but I use whatever various quality oil I have lying around. Normally it's a gunoil of some sort. I think there's a lot of snake oil salesmen in the oil business, both gun and fishing oils.

Tired of missing Fish? New from Japan.
I'd hate to have one of those fly back and hook me!

What do you buy more often, new or used reels?
Most used reels I see for sale locally are either bottom of the barrel Walmart specials or they want as much for a used model as I can find them for new online. Last year I did find a pawn shop that had a St. Croix spinning rod with a Pflueger President XT and a Fenwick HMG with a Johnny Morris Signature reel. The owner told me I could have both for $20 if I wanted. Out of a barrel full of rods and reels, those were the only two I'd have carried home.

Wire tying on rubber banded jig skirts
I use craft wire for adding new skirts or save worry about skirt bands breaking. I wire tie all my jigs and spinnerbaits.

Who uses straight braid on spinning reels?
I knew guys that used straight braid on the river, but I never would. Abrasion is one issue, but being able to break off a snag was my primary concern. I was doing a lot of float fishing and not being able to break off a snag quickly was a good way to break a pole or cause all kinds of problems while in steady current.

Lizard baits
I was fishing plastic lizards several years ago on a lake that I'd seen a ton of lizards in. I never caught a fish, but kept pulling in other lizards wrapped around my plastic lizard. I'm not sure it they were trying to mate with or fight my lizard.

Rod socks- need reccos
I use the cheap clear lure wraps to keep my hooks from snagging the pole sleeves or other items in the rod locker.

Small Bodies Of Water..... Motorized Vessels or Human Powered Vessels....??
We have a 144 acre lake that requires 5 hp motors or less. I can't imagine needing a gas motor on a 70 acre lake.

What line are you using?
For years I too fished mono for everything. I tried braid with leader for river fishing then got away from it. Last year I used Yo Zuri hybrid for everything. I'll probably do the same this year except for one pole I'll try braid for frogs.

Rod socks- need reccos
I bought a roll of woven sleeve off Amazon and make my own, but really it would be almost as cheap to buy the Walmart ones.

The latest sale thread
I'd say you're right. A clerk there told me that he saw people with arm loads of rods checking out. Last year at a local flea market a guy had a bunch of brand new rods and tons of other new stuff on his table. I'd assumed he'd cleaned up at the sale.

Tatula XT Casting Rod MHF 7'. Consider Tatula SV TW Reel Combo.
I had to oil the bearings in one of mine, but that was no big deal. The rest have been just fine. The SV's make casting so easy.

Rod brands with great customer support and "warranties" (insurance)?
The only rod issue I've had was a Fenwick. They were excellent to work with.

Daiwa Tatula or St. Croix Premier Spinning (or Screw it and get the Tatula XT)
I had a couple Premiers and really liked them till I overturned a canoe on the river and lost them. I currently have two Tatula spinning rods and really like them as well. I think either would provide good service for you. I'd handle them both and just pick whichever feels good to you.

Are you currently using any Temu rods or reels?
There's a lot of good stuff on there. I saw a Pen (notice it's not Penn) baitcast combo for only $5.33. You know that's got to be a quality outfit!

Falcon EVO -CLEARANCE
That 's worth a shot. It does work on a lot of things. So far though all the Falcon rods in the various stores I've been, all scanned at the price tagged on the racks.

Falcon EVO -CLEARANCE
I wouldn't have thought so, but could be. I know the pricing sure varies store by store. This week my closest store had tons of Ugly Sticks, cheaper Lews, and Berkley Lighting rods for $20 to $25, but all Evos were still $79. I was in another store today where I bought the $32 Evos and they were marked back to $79.

Crankbaits
I've caught more fish on crankbaits than anything else, so I fish them more. Of course you could say I fish crankbaits more than anything else, so I catch more fish on them. This year I'm going to try and fish other baits more since I seem to be only catching smaller bass on the crankbaits.
